Re: Information about SCRA exam?  SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentices examination will be held by the Union Public Service Commission. The examination for selection of candidates for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical department of Indian Railways. To apply for this examination,you have to completed 12th examination from a recognized board or equivalent qualification and you must have a physics,chemistry and mathematics as your subjects OR You have to completed graduation from a recognized university or equivalent qualification with physics,chemistry and mathematics as their degree subjects can also apply for this examination. Your age should between 17 years and 21 years as on 1st august 2012 and upper age limits is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Important dates :-

Upper Age Limit Is Relaxed By 5 Years For SC/ST Candidates And 3 Years For OBC Candidates. Educational Qualification - To Apply For UPSC SCRA Examination You Must Have Passed In The First Or Second Division, The Intermediate Or An Equivalent Examination Of A Recognised University Or Board With Mathematics And Atleast One Of The Subjects Physics and Chemistry As Subjects OfTthe Examination. Last date to apply is nearby 26th april Exam will be on july Your age should be between 17 to 21 years. You should have secured atleast second division in 10+2 exam. You should have maths at 10+2 level & also either Physics or Chemistry at 10+2 level. You can visit www.upsc.gov.in |

ELIGIBILITY FOR SCRA EXAM : AGE : The candidate aspiring for the SCRA exam must have attained 17 years of age & must not have completed 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination. MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : *Must have passed in the I or II division, the intermediate or an equivalent examination of the university or board approved by the government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects fo the examination. Graduates with Mathematicas and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply, or *must have passed in the I or II division , the higher secondary 12 class examination under 10+2 pattern of school eduaction with mathematics and at least one of the subject Physics and chemistry as subjects of the examination , TENTATIVE DATES FOR EXAM: Date of notification: 19-3-2011 Last date of submission of form: 18-4-2011 Date of exam: 31-7-2011 Here, i am attaching the complete description about SCRA exam. |
