Re: Marks required in B.Sc for JAM IIT? Dear friend, There is no criterion of marks in B.SC to write GATE.If you qualified in the B.SC that is sufficient to write JAM.You can write at most 2 times the JAM. |

Re: Marks required in B.Sc for JAM IIT? IIT JAM is Joint Admission Test for Graduates for admission into M.Sc course in IITs. You must have atleast 55 % marks in B.Sc if you want to Apply for IIT JAM . There is 5 % relaxation in marks for SC/ST and PWD. Hence if you have 55 % marks in B.Sc. then you can apply for IIT JAM otherwise you will not be eligible for it. For more information you can download the attachment. |

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION Eligibility requirements: The candidates who qualify in JAM-2011 shall have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admissions in IITs At least 55% aggregatemarks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for general/OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST/PD category candidates in the qualifying degree For candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the admitting institutes Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the minimum educational qualification as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30th September, 2011 |
