its not easy to crack the ies u should have a very deep knowledge of your subjects so firstly u should try clear your coccepts of your subjects and about books every books have the same matter so from any book u can study for ies and at last correspondance course of iesmadeeasy is very useful to the exam.

Its very hard to crack.
Its better to start preparation for IES from the 2nd year of your b.tech...
