Hi dear, the result for GATE 2011 is not published yet. so the cut off marks for each department is not declared yet. it will be declared as soon as result will be published. the result for GATE 2011 will be published on 15th March, 2011. previous year in GATE 2010 the cut off marks for EC paper as 25 for general category student. this year also you may expect that cut off marks will be near about this. may be it will increase few marks. in various forum so many experts are predicting that this year cut off marks for GATE examination EC paper will be 27 or 28 for general category candidate. this is just a prediction. it's not actual. wait for one day tomorrow at 10A.M the result will be published and also cut off marks will be declared. visit IIT website for GATE examination result. http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/ best of luck to all candidate those appeared in GATE 2011 Thanks |

My GATE score is 316. Category is OBC (min cut off for my category is 23.47) All INDIA Rank is 10,244 out of 72,680 candidates. I don't have any idea of getting a good college for my result. Hello friend... there are no meters to measure exact cutoff for any branch.. it purely depends year by year on some factors lik no. of applicants rigor of the question paper.. and many more other factors.. the average stats since past years.. the average cutoff for this exam would be.. 25 to 32 marks its not sure its just an estimation.. if you want latest updates regarding this cutoff then have a look in this link www.onestopgate.com all the best ~aditya~ |

Well ... its an hypothetical question because.. there will be no constant cutoff for exams like this.. because each year it will depend on no. of candidates the rigor of the question paper.. but commonly .. the average cutoff for the ECE branch.. is ... 32 marks.. its not sure.. if you want latest updates regarding cutoffs then follow up this website www.onestopgate.com all the best ~aditya~ |

Re: Cut-off for EC students in GATE 2011? As you the results for the GATE 2011 exams have not been declared as of yet, so it is really not possible to tell you the exact cut off. However, according to the last year's pattern, one can predict that the cut off can be around 25(for general candidates) and 22-23 for(for SC/ST). However, this is not exact and is subjected to change. So refer to the results as soon as they are declared. |

This may be cut-off but not sure because this is depend on candidates.......... if too much candidate is qualifying this exam then cut-off marks increased..... it is totally depend on seat and eligible candidates........... |

But in year 2010 the cut off marks for ECE is: Gen category: about 24marks Obc category: about 19marks ST-SC category: about 8marks So this year it is expecting that the cut off marks will be more as this year paper of the GATE exam is quite easy in comparison of previous year papers. So it is expected that this year students will get more marks. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Cut-off for EC students in GATE 2011? i hate attached some files that will give you an idea about previous year cutoff and number you should get to get into IITs or other good colleges . generally cutoff is around 24 -30 marks . |
