cut off gate score for ec student in gate 2011 is 750 for general,700 for sc and st,for direct admission,for iit kanpur. so i wish for your result to get iit kanpur and iit kanpur has highest cut off...

The cut off GATE mark for EC students cannot be said like this.........It depends on the top mark.........SO you have to wait until the results are released

the cut off of gate score for ec students is depends upon the highest score of the student.by some surveys minimum marks to qualify the gate is 24 to 25 marks

There is no official announcement on cut off score...
but if you have done well in GATE exam then be cool....

as long as the previous year ranks are concerned the cut off was 25....

It may be 25 or > 25,
suppose if average marks this year in ece is a & standard deviation is s,then
gate cut off is a+s (if a+s > 25) else it is 25.

GATE cut off varied year to year year.so can't be possible to tell it exactly.

last year cut off was 25 for general candidate EC.

so this year we can expected cut off will be near about +-25.

cut of for different collage is different such as ;

you should vesite on the gate .

the result for GATE 2011 is not published yet. so the cut off marks for each department is not declared yet. it will be declared as soon as result will be published. the result for GATE 2011 will be published on 15th March, 2011.



previous year in GATE 2010 the cut off marks for EC paper as 25 for general category student. this year also you may expect that cut off marks will be near about this. may be it will increase few marks. in various forum so many experts are predicting that this year cut off marks for GATE examination EC paper will be 27 or 28 for general category candidate. this is just a prediction. it's not actual. wait for one day tomorrow at 10A.M the result will be published and also cut off marks will be declared. visit IIT website for GATE examination result.

Yes, there is chances that you could get NIT in this marks also because SC candidate cutoff is always less then general one.

Gate-2011

For IIT your percentile must be more than 98

then only there is a chances for getting seats in IIT.

So, see your score card and find it out.

Admission through Gate

Your marks is really impressive but for getting TOP colleges of IIT your

percentile must be greater than 99 then only there

is a cahnces for this.

The cutoff marks for ECE is 25 marks not 29.

Nobody can guess but i can give you a rough idea that it may vary from 25

to 30 marks.

Yah, you are right but the minimum marks can increase there is no fix marks like 24 or 25.

number you should get to get into IITs or other good colleges .

or more result you will check gate website on 15 march 2011.

The GATE result for the year 2011 has not been announced
yet. But in year 2010 the cut off marks for ECE is:

Gen category: about 24marks
Obc category: about 19marks
ST-SC category: about 8marks

So this year it is expecting that the cut off marks will be more
as this year paper of the GATE exam is quite easy in comparison
of previous year papers. So it is expected that this year students
will get more marks.

As you the results for the GATE 2011 exams have not been declared as of yet, so it is really not possible to tell you the exact cut off.
However, according to the last year's pattern, one can predict that the cut off can be around 25(for general candidates) and 22-23 for(for SC/ST).

However, this is not exact and is subjected to change.

So refer to the results as soon as they are declared.
