Yes software enginee can apply for UPSC orMPSC but the question will not be asked from the your stream the question are generally from other stream. list of subject which are in the syllabus of UPSC you can get from the given below link: www.upsc.gov.in You have to devote exatra time for the preparation of this exam. |

Re: Can Software Engineers apply for UPSC or MPSC? for applying for any of the posts in upsc exam the minimum qualification is graduation in any field...... and so you can apply for the exams in upsc...... Preliminary Examination of the Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the Services will be held by the Union Public Service Commission on 23rd May. Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- best of luck |

Dear friend you can apply in UPSC and MPSC, as minimum eligibility to appear in UPSC is pass in graduation in any discipline.But friend, in the exam of UPSC and MPSC , ther is no subject in the syllabus of UPSC and MPSC related to computer science,so you have to choose subject from ECE, EE or mechanical.you can also choose subject like physics, math, chemistry.your age should be less than equal to 30 year.After qualifying the exam of UPSC or MPSC you will not get job related to Software. you will get job as SDO,DM or SP. best of luck. |

Re: Can Software Engineers apply for UPSC or MPSC? dear friend, Yes , software engineers can apply for UPSC or MPSC.. but there will be no subjects from software branch.. you have to give the subjects of electronics stream.. means the syllabus for software engineers is generally the syllabus of electronics branch.. so you have to give the exam on electronics subjects.. the exams which are generally conducted by UPSC are, 1. IAS 2. IES 3. UES 4. EKT 5. CDS etc.. all the best.. |
