Eligibility criteria for Indian Public Service: Education qualification:Candidate should complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. Age limit: For general category age should be between 21 to 30 years For obc category age should be between 21 to 33 years For sc/st category age should be between 21 to 35 years Number of attempts: Only 4 attempts for General category candidate Only 7 attempts for OBC category candidates No limit for sc/st category candidates. Indian Public Service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year: Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012. Exam will held on 20th May 2012. Indian Public Service (Main Exam) notification for this year: Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012. For OBC category candidates is - 7 attempts. * The candidates should get graduation from a recognized university. If you want to appear for exam you have to get graduation. Age limit: The age limit for general candidates is 21-30 years The age limit for OBC candidates is 21-33 years The age limit for SC/ST candidates is 21-35 years. Best wishes |

Hello Friend General Candidates can appear in the exam for consecutively 4 times.But the OBC Candidates can appear in the exam for Consecutively 7 times where as there is no limit for the SC/ST candidates.They can appear in the exam as many times they want. |

And If You have Attempt All the 4 Chances, Then After You will Not Appear for IPS Examination. 7 Attempts are Allowed for Other Backward Classes And there Is No Restriction for SC/ST Candidates For Appear In IPS Examination.
