Re: Qualification and age limit for the officer training academy? UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts CDS(Combined Defense Services) examination for joining Officer Training Academy. Eligibility criteria required for CDS examination are mentioned as below:- 1. Completion of bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized university. 2. Nationality:- Indian. 3. Age limit:- 19-25 years. 4. Physically and mentally fit. |

Re: Qualification and age limit for the officer training academy? Hi Hemwant, In order to join the Officer Training Academy, you need to crack the CDS Examination. CDS Examination better known as Combined Defense Services Examination is conducted twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Those candidates who meet the following criteria are eligible to appear in the CDS Examination. Cracking the examination can only help you get entry in OTA. Eligibility Criteria for CDS Examination: * Candidate must have secured a Bachelors degree in any stream from a Government recognized university. * The age of the candidate must lie between 19-25 years. * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. * The candidate must be physically fit. I am 23 years old and now i am working as a recruit in srilsnka navy.i did my o/l and a/l both in english medium.from grade 6 onwards i learnt in english medium.i did my a/l in bio science stream and lhave a credit pass for biology a pass for physics and a distinction for english.is it eligible for me to apply for officers |

Sir My name is Manoj Deury I want to join indian army through OTA and I am also doing job in Assam Police Battalion I found this job when I am appearing Degree 4th semester for this job I can't complete my graduation but now I have given exam regularly and I passed regularly .I have complete my graduation n I am not comfortable in Assam police so I want to join indian army How much percentage need to attain OTA. |

Officer training Academy is a part of IMA ( Indian Military Academy). And IMA ( Indian Military Academy) is also a part of UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission). You can join Officer Training Academy through the UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission). UPSC released notification every year. You can check it on Employment News Paper. Your age limit should be between 19 to 25 years. There are following other qualifications required to apply for the Officer Training Academy exam. ^ You should have a graduation certificate from recognized university with 50% of marks. ^ Your age limit should be between 19 to 25 years. ^ You should have Indian citizenship. ^ You should have good communication skill. ^ You should not suffer from any diseases. ^ You should be physically as well medically fit. |

Re: Qualification and age limit for the officer training academy? Officer training academy wing can be get by the giving CDD entrance exam.This exam is conducted by the Upsc every year. The eligibility for this exam is, to have a graduation degree course in any stream bur, from a recognised university with good percentages in aggregate. The students who wish to appear in the CDS exam for the OTA wing ,their age must lie in between 19 years to 25 yaers. |
