Helo...am Manoj....frm mahabubad warangal dist...from childhood i want to become a police officer ....am very mad of it...I like interogation...i try my level best for becoming ips....I want to ask one thing why ips posts will not be given in small towns.... |

hi friend,  IPS stands for Indian Police Service A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any stream....... Final year students are also applicable. Age Limit: General category student:- 21-30 years. OBC relaxation in upper age 21-33 years. SC/ST relaxation in upper age 21-35 years. No. Attempt: General - max. 4 OBC - max. 7. SC/ST - No limit. Subjects for IPS:

IPS Exam conducted by UPSC through Civil Service Exam every year You can apply online using www.upsconline.nic.in You age should be between 21-30 years You must Graduate pass Examination: 1. Preliminary Examination (written test) 2. Main Examination. (written test and interview) Syllabus : 1. Preliminary Examination: It consists of two paper Paper-I *current events on national and international importance *Indian and word geography *History of India and Indian National Moments *Indian Polity and governance *Economic and social development *General Science Paper-II *Comprehension *General mental ability *Basic Numeracy *Data interpretation *Decision making and problem solving *English language comprehension skill 2. Main Examination: It consists of 9 papers Paper-I One of the Indian Language to be selected by the candidate from 22 language Paper-II: English Paper-III : Essay Paper - IV & V : General Study Paper - V, VI, VII, VIII & IX : Any Two Subject to selected Attempts For General 4 attempts For OBC 7 attempts For SC/ST No Limits |

There is no separate exam for IPS. For all the services a common entrance exam cum selection procedure will be conducted every year . Its name is Civil Service Exam this exam is conducted by UPSC. The exam is same for all the aspirants of Civil Services like IAS aspirants have to write same CSE(Civil Service Exam), IPS aspirants also the same in this way all the 24 service aspirants have to clear the common entrance exam called civil service exam okay. you have to apply this after completing your degree and after obtaining 21 years of minimum age.
