My Answer
There is no separate exam for IPS. For all the services a common entrance exam cum selection procedure will be conducted every year . Its name is Civil Service Exam this exam is conducted by UPSC.

The exam is same for all the aspirants of Civil Services like IAS aspirants have to write same CSE(Civil Service Exam), IPS aspirants also the same in this way all the 24 service aspirants have to clear the common entrance exam called civil service exam okay.

you have to apply this after completing your degree and after obtaining 21 years of minimum age.

how can i know the subjects to study for ips .

My Answer

There are three levels of exams in this examination pattern.
For each level the syllabus and subjects will vary.
for first level there is common syllabus to all the applicants.
for second level you can select two optional subjects from a predefined list along with compulsory subjects.
for level 3 you have to prepare like for a HR interview.

For example subjects will be like
General Studies,
Mechanical engineering.
public administration,
Indian Polity
Indian Geography
World Geography etc. etc.,
etc.,

HI,
I.P.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university.

Age limit:-
For Open category:- 21-30 year
For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR
For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

Number of Attempts:-
For open category:- 4 attempts
For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

You have to chose any to optional subject in I.P.S. exam.
