It is the right time to start your preparation you have more than 2 year with you, you would be able to prepare well and would get ample time for revision You can join any good coaching classes in your area. Make sure apart from coaching you need to give atleast 2 hours atleast for study All the best |

Eligibility criteria:- You should be complete graduation or an bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The candidate must be a citizen of india. Final year persuing candidates can also be eligible for this exam. There is no required percentage to appear this exam. Age criteria:- For General candidates 21 years to 30years, For OBC candidates 21 years to 33years, For SC/ST candidates 21 years to 35 years. For PH OBC candidates 21 years to 40years. Number of Attempts:- **4 times for general candidates, **7 times OBC candidates, **No limit for SC/ST candidates. You are now in B-TECH 2nd year of IT so after completion of your B-TECH degree you are applicable for IAS exam.So you can start the preparation for IAS exam. You can choose some books and daily prepare those books with one hour because you are a student now. I have listed the optional subjects you can choose those subject as your strength.In optional subject list their is no subject which are related to computer science or IT. So you can choose one of these scoring subject like History , Pol science , Philosophy etc. OPTIONAL SUBJECT=> MAINS SUBJECT=> I have listed some books name you can prepare well those books this books are really helpful for you.This books are available in market with low price. Normally applications are invited by UPSC notifications in leading News Papers during December every year. The Civil Services Examination consists of three stages. * Civil Services Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type) (Usually conducted in May) * Civil Services Main Examination (Written) (Conducted during October/November) * Interview and final Selection (During April/May) How to Prepare :: Here I have mentioned some points. Please read it very carefully : * know all about the current events of national and international importance. * History of India and Indian national movement. * Constitution of India. * Make your English (spoken and written) very clear, clean and fluent. * Must have to know about the - Indian Polity and governance - constitution, political system, panchayatiraj, public policy, Rights issues, etc. * you have to know also : Economic and social development - sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc. * General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that do not require subject specialization. * General science. * Logical reasoning and analytical ability. * Decision making and problem solving * General mental ability.
