Now I am planning to write IES without leaving my job because I need job safety and I required it. Thing is I don%u2019t know how prepare..please tell me how to prepare and if u have any notes and all then let me know so that I can collect with you.. I have 15months time to prepare, so how can I prepare.. Give me good useful tips to crack IES.. Thank you |

Re: Salary of a government engineering after clearing UPSC IES exam? i have cleared the prelim,but now i am facing a problem as i have filled DAF online for the main bt i didnt ,take print out at that time ,of it.now the date has gone i.e 9/9/2011.and the date of submittion of hard copy of this application is 15/9/2011. now i m trying to open the site but it is opening. now i dont know wat to do .can anyone help me out .any suggestion any advice . shekhar |

According to 6th Pay commission the salary as followings:- junior Officers Rs. 8000-275-13500 Senior Officers Rs. 10650-325-15200 Junior Administrative Grade Rs. 12,750-375-16,500 Selection Grade Rs. 15,100-400-18,300 Additional Secretary Rs. 22400-525-24500.. As salary Given by Government is Fixed for higher Authorities Its varies from 15,500-39500 rupees Per month. salary for IES Engineer is 39k to 54 k as per as the Position, & these digits are total Monthly payment Given to Engineer including all allowances. |

Category II—Mechanical Engineering. Category III—Electrical Engineering. Category IV—Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. exam details exam is in two parts- Part I—The written examination will comprise two sections—Section I consisting only of objective types of questions and Section Part II—Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination. |

Salary of a government engineer after clearing IES is about 5 lakh per annum, but more important than salary you will have a prestigious life with having a lot of power and facilities. So many people will work under you, which will give you inner pleasure. So, its very honourful to be an IES engineer. |

Re: Salary of a government engineering after clearing UPSC IES exam? Salary is not everything for an IES engineer. The IES engineer enjoys lots of free services from the government. Yeah they get paid around 40,000 monthly but if you include their monthly allowances then it can come to lakhs. For eg like the government will provide a free bunglow along with a car and a driver. You will even have lots of power too. So the salary,pay and perks are just great for IES engineers |
