If you want to apply IPS Officer exam then first you have complete your Graduation degree becuse after completed 12th class you are not eligible to apply this exam.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam in every year.

For apply Civil Services exam:-

Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates.

Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years

And SC/ST category candidates 5 years.

Indian Police Service(IPS) - To become an IPS ooficer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

It is not possible to become an IPS officer after 12th as the minimumeducatinal qualification for IPS is Graduation.

The eligible candidate wishing to become an IPS office, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

The aspiring candidate for IPS should have maintained a minimum prescribed Physical retirement such as:-

HEIGHT:- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection is through two stages of written exam followed by Personal interview.

The eligible candidate applying for Civil Service exam is called for a Preliminary exam also called as CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test and the candidate selected out of it is called for Civil Service Main Exam and the final selection is through Personal Interview out of the candidate selected from Main Exam.

With 12th standard Qualification your not eligible for IPS Entrance Examination ..

To Become an IPS Examination ::

First you need to complete Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized University and After Completing your Bachelor degree course in need to appear in Civil Service Examination which is organized by Union Public Service Commission ..

Hi,

A 10+2 pass candidate cannot apply for IPS or IAS exam.

IPS, IAS and IFS exams are conducted by UPSC in the form of CSAT - Civil Services Aptitude Test.

There is eligibility criteria to apply for CSAT , which are -

Minimum graduation in any discipline from a recognised university of India.

Age should be between 21 -30 years.

So, you can apply for CSAT only when you complete graduation.

Now , you have ample of time for the preparation of civil services. make the most of it.

Dear friend,
To become an IPS officer you have to appear in the Civil Services exam conducted by UPSC every year.
The exam consists of 3 stages. Those are-
1. Preliminary Test.
2. Main.
3. Personal Interview.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA(To appear in the Civil Services exam):-
1. You must be a Graduate in any stream from any recognized university.
2. You should have at least 55% marks in your Graduation.
3. Your age must be within 21-29 years.

Procedure to Become IPS Officer after 12th


First of all you have to complete your graduation in any stream only then you shall be eligible for appearing for the Civil Service Exams and after clearing this exam..you can opt for becoming an IPS

According to the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) guidelines..a candidate should satisfy the following conditions in order to be able to appear for the Civil Service Exams :-

The maximum number of attempts for General are 4,for OBC its 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

It consists of 2 rounds

1) Prelims :- 2 objective papers which will test your Aptitude,General Knowledge and Current Affairs

2) Mains :- 1 subjective paper which shall test your knowledge of the graduation subjects..

After you clear both these rounds..you will be eligible for the interview and the final selection..

But..for the time being..concentrate on your 12th and then graduation..

Eligibility Criteria:-

Physical Standards :


Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Civil Services Examination.

2:Chest-

Physically Handicapped(PH) candidates who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.

After completing your 12th, You can not apply for IAS exams.

So, if you are interested to become a IAS Officer, then please complete your Graduation first, because Graduation is the minimum eligiblity for IAS.

So, After 12th please, get admission in graduation course, after completing your graduation, you can apply for IAS exams.

IAS comprises of three levels of examination -

Preliminary- Objective choice

Mains - Subjective type

And Finally Interview.


So after Clear all these stages, you will get a chance to become an IAS Officer.

So, please study hard for this exams, purchase some best books from the market and study according to the syllabus, onlt then you will get sucess in this exams.

to do after completing 12th in order to become an IPS Officer
You can join Indian Police Services(IPS) by qualifying Civil Services examination
which is conducted by UPSC every year.
This year the notification for the exam will come on 19th February,2011 and the
application will remain open till 21st March, 2011.
The application procedure will be available in the notification.
You can either apply online or you can get the application form post office and send
in your application.

The examination is conducted in two stage:
Civil Services Preliminary Examination or Civil Services Aptitude Test(CSAT)
This a common exam based on General Studies, comprehension skill, verbal and
quantitative aptitude and communication skills.
Main Examination and Personal interview
Those who qualify Preliminary round appear for Main examination.
Those who qualify Main examination are called for Interview.
The marks of Main examination and Interview are sum up to prepare the final merit list.
The Main examination comprise of following papers.
Essay type Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks)

Educational Qualifications for IPS :
Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification.

Eligibility Criteria for IPS Officer is as mentioned below:-

1) You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age (various relaxations are available for different categories).

2) You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

3) Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IAS and IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.



Special Physical Requirements for IPS:-

1) As mentioned earlier candidates appearing for the personality test on clearing the civil services mains exam have to meet certain physical requirements to be eligible for IPS.

2) Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST and to races such as Gorkhas, Garhwalias, Assamese, Kumaonis, Nagaland Tribals etc.)

3) Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women.

4) Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.

5) Total amount of Myopia (including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia (including the cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D

For Becoming an IPS Officer, You need to complete your 12 class First, And then you need to Go for any Degree Or if interested Engineering Graduation. Where you have complete it and Then apply for the same.

For becoming IPS officer you need to crack CSAT exam i.e Civil Service Aptitude Test conducted by UPSC every year. If you pass to clear it then you will face an Interview For formality Purpose and after competing all these hurdles you are a IPS Officer. So good Luck for your Future.

You need to complete your graduation in order to be eligible to sit for UPSC exams.

to become an IPS officer after 12th is not possible
but then after 12th you should do the graduation and score the 60% of the marks and then apply for the entrance exam of the IPS conducted by the UPSC .....
