i'm just passed B.Com(H) from Burdwan University..now i want to go for a Income Tax Officer..and nothing know about it..would you please give me the full details that how many exams i have to clear for it and which kind of subjects on these exams i have to face..

Dear Ajay, to become an incometax officer first of all you have to write graduate level examination which will be conducted by staff selection commission. In n the examination if you qualify you will be absorbed as incometax inspector or tax assistant according to you rank in ssc exam. after words you have to write the departmental examinations which will be conducted by the incometax department. There is no direct recruitmnet for incometax officers.

-->General english,
--> General intelligence,
--> Numerical aptitude.

Selection process:

1. Tier-1 exam.
2. Tier-T exam.
3. Personal interview.

ELIGIBILITY

- For Officers of Group-A level post you have to take UPSC exam.

--> All graduate are eligible for this post.

--> Age limit: 21-30 years.

--> Age for OBC: 21-33 years.

--> Age for SC/ST: 21-35 years.

Hi,

Income Tax officer exam is conducted by the SSB(Staff Selection Commission) once in a year

Eligibility criteria :

The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.

Final year candidates can also be eligible

You must be a citizen of India

The age limits is 18 years to 27 years

3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates

5 years upper age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates

Selection Process :

Written Test

Interview

Written test Syllabus :

General Intelligence

General English

Arithmetical Ability

General Awareness

Income Tax Officer post is reputed post.

- For Officers of Group-A level post you have to take UPSC exam.
