Re: MSc in microbiology, good for Income? msc. microbiology is awesome... but it is very very hard subject. and if anyone topper in microbiology, he/she will get job in R & D departments of industries like ranbaxy, cipla, GSK and many more at higher post. and salary range is awesome. one can go abroad also. but remember u have to work hard. |

HELLO,yah surely after M.Sc. microbiology you can get the salary as per your ability & eligibility.moreover you should have good work experience or have attaineded internship.medical microbiology is the field for research & priority will be with candidates have done training or have completed their internship programe.you can also take GRE(graduation record examination) for PhD which will lead you to abroad,& you will have more opportunities in this field. |

Re: MSc in microbiology, good for Income? it is fact that there is no too much scope for the microbiology in the India. but in foreign there is a lot of opportunity for this course.so you will get the better income,but about the India some institute is very good, and if yo will do from there then you can get good salary option. |

Dear friend, If you have done your msc in microbiology then you can start your career by joining food or beverage industry as a microbiologist.you can also join any plant or iron furnace.initally you will get low pa scale but once you get some experience you will get handsome salary. Re: MSc in microbiology, good for Income? being a veteran in this field I can only wish good luck to fellows who are studying passionately, a lot of difficulties in this field, it hasn't grown as expected in last 10 years, there are only a few straight jobs one an apply for after doing MSc, after PhD things change a bit in the research field but the overall scenario is still very gloomy........ foreign companies generally don't take MSc microbiologists from india for their overseas factories, for starting one can try in bangalore, buddi, dehradoon, gangtok, goa and some places in Gujrat..... but for freshers salary and increment rate both will be very poor |

Re: MSc in microbiology, good for Income? yes you can get good remuneration after completinf this course. career path for a microbiologist can be well explained in various field which is as follows- Teaching Field- In this field a fresher can intialise as a lecturer and after few years of experience he/she can be appointed as a senior lecturer.One who has done Ph.d and have few years of experience as a lecturer, can be appointed as a Professor in various reputated institutes and university. Agricultural Field- One can intialise as a junior scientist and reach upto senior scientist. |
