Re: Sports quota in Indian Army? The army body builders are not required for the organisation as such since there is no real requirement of body builders in army. The motive for body building in the army is not understood. If you want to build your body with a motive of competing in services wrestling championships and then on to Nationals and Olympics, then it is a good idea |

Re: Sports quota in Indian Army? Candidates who are willing to join the Indian army as a soldier and are very good at any one of these games can join the Indian army as a Havildar or Naib Subedar directly. No sports quota for officer level entry.. |

Every year many candidates join INDIAN Army(Indian navy, Indian Air force, Armed forces) through sports quota. But karate, taekwondo are not considered in sports quota. I am giving information of the Sports which are included in sports quota: 1. Wrestling 2. Tennis 3. Shooting 4. Polo 5. Kabaddi 6. Football 7. Aquatic 8. Basketball 9. Athletic 10. Cricket 11. Re: Sports quota in Indian Army? dear friend 3 to 5% of total seats in Indian Army will be given to the sportsmen who is representing the indian team in different type of game......................... some age relaxation will also given to the sportsmen. Relaxation of age – Against sports quota entry, the upper age relaxation for oustanding sportsmen, who have played at International / National / State level may be considered upto a period of 12 months. best of luck............................. |

But you have to qualify in written exam, then either in interview or in SSB test you will sure get benefits. don't worry about it, but take preparation very carefully. Because having national level certificate & medal is not only eligibility criteria but it will help you for selection only , so be careful about your preparation. |
