You can apply if you meet the below eligibilty conditions: Education Graduation pass and in Graduation you should have studied at least one of the below subjects : Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry Or BE/Btech pass Age- Minimum age to apply is 21 years Maximum age to apply is 30 years OBC can apply till 33 years SC/ST can apply till 35 years Attempts- General Category candidates can apply for 4 times OBC category candidates can apply for 7 times Exam Pattern Paper I General English Paper II General Knowledge Paper III Optional paper Paper IV Optional paper Paper V Optional paper Paper VI Optional paper You have to choose two optional papers from the below list, Each optional Papers will have two papers each in the exams. IFS i.e Indian Forest Service Examination You must have Any Degree from a recognized University with One of the subjects out of 25 Known subjects. The basic eligibility for IFS exam will be, a candidate should be of age 21 to 30 and having a bachelor degree in any of the following subjects as mathematics,physics,chemistry,stats,biology,zoolog y,botany pharmacy, engineering, and all the science related branches. |

As you have completed your post graduation course in Biotech,your education qualification is sufficient for IFS exam,but age should also fulfill to apply for the exam. Age should be between 21 to 3o years for General category candidates,for OBC 21 to 33 years and for SC/ST category only minimum age is rquired that is 21 years. Eligiblity of the IFS entrence exam is Candidates age limit is between 21 years and 30 years.with a Bachelor's degree in science or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering,Forestry,Agricultur or an MBBS. As you have complited Msc in Bio-tech so you are eligible appear for IFS exam. There are many optional papers you may take your febaret two subject from the list. |

The exam will held on 9th July, 2011. The exam pattern will be like: General English which consists of essay writing, precise/summary writing and questions to assess your comprehension and verbal ability in English. General Knowledge which covers questions relating to the Indian political system, the Constitution of India, history of India, geography (India and world), general science and current events (national and international). the questions will be of higher secondary level and the optional subject will be of Honors degree level. So you can choose any of the subjects as your options and sit for the exam. |
