JEE Main Eligibility - You must have passed senior secondary with physics , chemistry and maths as a main subjects. - You should have passed 12th class exam in the year 2015 or after to appear JEE Main 2017. - Your age should be below 25 years on 31st December of the examination year. - Maximum 3 attempts are allowed. JEE Main 2017 Tentative Dates - Registration Opens From : December , 2016 - Closing of Registration : January , 2017 - JEE Main Exam : April , 2017 |

JEE MAIN 2016 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA The following criteria should be noted carefully to appear for the exam and get admission in your dream engineering college in India. 1. Pass Percentage in Class 12/Qualifying Examination Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their Class 12 They must have studied at least one out of the below as optional subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Bio-technology They must have scored total 50% marks (minimum) in all subjects. |

No, you are not eligible to appear in 12th standard improvement examinations in 2016 after passing your 12th standard board examinations in 2014. If you appear for 12th standard board examinations in 2016 then, your improvement score will be added in JEE Main 2016 examination. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2016 examination. |

Re: Can I appear in JEE Main 2016 after giving improvement exam? With the changed pattern, now it is mandatory to have good percentage in class 12th along with marks in engineering entrance exam. So a large no. of students appear in improvement exam if class 12th. You can definitely appear for jee- mains for 2016 but you are not eligible for admission to IITs. Because its your 2nd year after 12th. Thanks |
