Eligibility an Income Tax Officer To become Income Tax officer you have to pass the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public. Educational Qualification:- To be eligible for becoming an Income Tax Officer one should hold a Bachelor's degree of any stream. Age:-. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of certain categories of employees working under the Government of India and Defense Services Personnel. The notification for the examination, published in the month of April in the Employment News /Rozgar Samachar , Gazette of India. Re: Minimum age required to become an Income Tax Officer? Income tax officer is a central government department post. Attending entrance exam is a must for this job. The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university to apply for this job. There are some relaxations in case of age which will be mainly for the reserved categories. The candidate should be between the age of 18- 25 years. For certain post, one need to adhere to certain physical standards. In case of Central Excise officers certain physical standards in relation to height, weight, etc are needed. There will also be a Physical test which will be conducted for these posts. As already mentioned, one need to attend a written examination which is conducted by the SSC. The exam will be an objective type which will generally include topics such General Awareness General Intelligence Arithmetical Ability and General English. The candidates will have to get pass in all these test areas separately. Only those candidates who get passed in the written examination will be eligible for the Personality Test /interview which will carry around 100 marks. Notifications regarding the various post vacant will be available in the official website. Careful preparation should be there from the part of the candidates to succeed in the test. good luck |

Re: Minimum age required to become an Income Tax Officer? Dear, The age limitation criteria is as follows:- 18-25 years for the general category. There is some relaxations for the SC/ST/OBC category. It is 3 years for the OBC and 5 years for the SC/ST. Thanks. |

The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Other Backward Classes, Departmental candidates and such other categories of persons as may be decided from time to time. Dear, If you listen to me then - The exam is held once in a year,generally in the month of April.the application format is published in the emplyeement news paper. The candidate must have attained 18 years of age and must not have attained maximum 25 years of age.The upper age limit is relaxable for ST/SC/BC.
