what is the age to become an income tax officer and what is its eligble qualification

A candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on the first July of the year of examination. The upper age limit is relaxable in respect of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes Other Backward Classes, Departmental candidates and such other categories of persons as may be decided from time to time.

There is no minimum age for that but most qualify the graduation degree for writing the exam.....

The exam is held once in a year,generally in the month of April.the application format is published in the emplyeement news paper.

Eligibility criteria for Income tax Officer:

1. Educational qualification- Bachelor's degree from any stream

2. Age- Candidate must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st july of the year of examination and must not have attained the age of 27 years on that date.
(Age relaxation- 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST)

after 12th education income tax is good for me or not

Income tax officer is a central government department post. Attending entrance exam is a must for this job.

The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university to apply for this job. There are some relaxations in case of age which will be mainly for the reserved categories. The candidate should be between the age of 18- 25 years. For certain post, one need to adhere to certain physical standards. In case of Central Excise officers certain physical standards in relation to height, weight, etc are needed. There will also be a Physical test which will be conducted for these posts.

As already mentioned, one need to attend a written examination which is conducted by the SSC. The exam will be an objective type which will generally include topics such
General Awareness
General Intelligence
Arithmetical Ability and
General English.

The candidates will have to get pass in all these test areas separately. Only those candidates who get passed in the written examination will be eligible for the Personality Test /interview which will carry around 100 marks. Notifications regarding the various post vacant will be available in the official website. Careful preparation should be there from the part of the candidates to succeed in the test.

Eligibility an Income Tax Officer

To become Income Tax officer you have to pass the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public.

Educational Qualification:- To be eligible for becoming an Income Tax
Officer one should hold a Bachelor's degree of any stream.

Age:-.
The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of certain categories of employees working under the Government of India and Defense Services Personnel.

The notification for the examination, published in the month of April in the Employment News /Rozgar Samachar , Gazette of India.

Process to become an Income Tax Officer:- There are three stage of ITO

1.Preliminary Examination
2.Main Examination
3.Personality Test(interview)
