The candidate must have passed 10th.

Private Pilot License (PPL) eligibility:

The candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM as subjects .

The candidate age should be 18-30 years .

Beside getting these licences, one has to fulfill following criteria to become a pilot:-

Dear,
According to the age limits for the NDA,it is mandatory for a candidate to have the DOB between 2 july 1997 and 1 july 2000.
So,As you've found, you are not eligible for seating in NDA exams.

Now,the best other option that is left for you is to prepare for CDS examination.Eligibilities
for CDS exams are as following;
*1) A candidate applyingforr CDS examination should must have an age between 19 years and 23 years.
*2) Candidate should must have completedi the graduation with passing marks.
*3) Candidate should must be unmarried.

I hope these informations will help you.
Best of luck!

You can Join Indian Air Force through NDA and CDS exams.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy while CDS stands for Combined Defence Services.

Both the exams are conducted by UPSC.

NDA exam can be applied after 12th while CDS exam can be applied after graduation.

For NDA you must have 12th with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics while for CDS IAF you need graduation with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics subjects or you have completed Engineering degree.

For NDA your age should be within 16.5 years to 19 years and for CDS IAF your age must be 19 years to 23 years.

To become a pilot in Indian Air Force is possible when you apply for the respected entrance exam which offers you the opportunity. Regarding that you can apply for the NDA exam being 19 years old.

You are right about the criteria which you have mentioned as candidates who are born not earlier than 02nd July 1997 and not later than 01st July 2000 are only eligible for applying for the NDA exam as per the age limit criteria. You need to satisfy all the criteria needed for the exam in order to apply such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification, martial status and physical standards.

If you fail to satisfy any of the one criteria then you are ineligible for applying for the NDA exam. To know more information regarding the NDA exam check at http://www.upsc.gov.in

The age limit for CDSE and AFCAT is 19 - 23 years.
You must have done graduation for applying.

According to recently released notifications of NDA Exam (I) 2016, you are not eligible for it.

Only those candidates are eligible to apply whose DOB lies between 2 July, 1997 and 1 July, 2000.

Since your DOB is 8th May 1997, so you are not eligible to apply for NDA Exam.

However, you can apply for AFCAT exam or CDS Exam after pursuing and completing bachelor course in any discipline from any recognized institution to become Pilot in IAF.

Both the exams require graduation in any discipline from any recognized University to apply for it.
