UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts IAS(Indian Administrative Services) examination for those candidates who want to become a civil officer. Eligibility Criteria required for IAS examination 2016:- * Completion of Graduation in any stream from any recognised university. * Age limit:- 21-30 years on 1st August. * Age relaxation:- 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limit for attempting for SC/ST candidates. * Nationality:- Indian. * Physically and Mentally fit. You have to open the official website of UPSC and then click on ’UPSC online apply’ link on the right side of Homepage of above website. Then you have to fill up all entries carefully according to your documents. The third step is the photo and signature upload stage where you have to get the pixel of the picture correct along with the size. Lastly you have to make the paymenthrough online or by offline and take printout of application for future use. To give the IAS Examination you need to be a citizen of India. Along with that you need to have a graduate degree. The degree can be obtained in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. Re: Age limit for IAS examination 2016 I.A.S stands for the Indian Administrative Officer and to become an I.A.S officer, candidates have to qualify in civil services examination conducted by the UPSC every year. The eligibility to appear for the examination is:- * Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university. * Candidates age must be between the 21-32 years with the relaxation in the age for the reserved category in upper age limit. The notifications for 2016 examination is released and the application form for examination will be available from April 2016. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam. Only passing percentage of marks is required to apply for the exam. >>The minimum age limit on 1st August of year of examination is 21 years and upper age limit for general category candidates is 32 years. But on the other hand I can tell you about last year's(2015) age limits which were like this; *For general categories candidatea - 32 years *For OBC category candidates- 35 years *For SC/ST category candidates- 37 years I hope it will help you! |

Re: Age limit for IAS examination 2016 Hello Candidates applying for IAS examination should ensure all eligibility conditions. Government intends to raise upper age limit and number of attempts of applicants of civil services examination. Upper age limit will be 37 years for sc/st candidates with unlimited number of attempts, 35 years for obc candidates with 9 attempts while 32 years for general category with 6 attempts. Eligibilty criteria:- *Candidates must be an Indian citizen. *Candidates must hold a Bachelor degree from a recognized university. |
