Re: How to become a District Collector?

It is good to see that your goal is too high. For becoming the collector you have to clear the entrance exam of Upsc as Civil Service examination.

The eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university with good percentages. The age must be in between 21 years to 32 years to be eligible for this exam.

Once you clear this exam successfully then on the basis of your performance you will get the respected post.

Re: How to become a District Collector?

Hi,

If you want to become a district collector then you have to appear for CSAT exam conducted by UPSC every year.

You must have heard about IAS(Indian Administration Service ),after clearing the IAS you will become a district collector.

But for that you have to appear for CSAT exam.It is very difficult to clear the exam.

Eligibility for CSAT:

1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

2.Four attempts if you are a general candidate , seven if you are a OBC and no limit if you are a SC/ST.

3.You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

In CSAT steps are there.

best of luck............................
