UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION(UPSC) conducts various examinations such as :- CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE To become an IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc. the candidate having Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years, can appear for Civil Service Exam. To become an IES officer the candidate having Graduation Degree in Engineering from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years, can apply for IES. To serve Indian Defence Sector, candidate having Graduation Degree in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years can appear for the CDS entrance exam. Now, It really does not matters whether you have completed your bachelors degree program after a Diploma course or have followed bachelors degree program after completion of higher secondary, if you are a graduate, you will be considered eligible for graduate level examination provided you fulfill other eligibility criteria applicable to each examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Public Service Commission of respective states or any other regulatory bodies.
