Re: Will I be able to apply for Army if I chose PCB in 12th? hi, I am sorry to say that girl are not allowed in the N.D.A exam. N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. After qualifying this exam you can start you career in defence sector like:- >> Indian Army >> Indian Air force >> Indian Navy Eligibility criteria:- > Pass 12th with any subject from recognized university > Age limit:-16.5-19 year > Medically fit > Only boys are eligible for N.D.A There are 3 steps of selection:- -Written exam. -Interview -medical exam. If any girl want to join the Indian Army they can apply after graduation through C.D.S exam conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. ALL THE BEST! |

Re: Will I be able to apply for Army if I chose PCB in 12th? NDA exam conducted by UPSC is the best way for you to join in Indian Army after 12th std. The eligibility required to appear in NDA exam is that you must have passed in 12th std and your age must be above 16 1/2 yrs and below 19 yrs. |

But after completing 12th if you want to join in Indian Army you have to crack competitive exams like NDA exam. NDA stands for National defence Academy. Eligibility criteria for NDA exam. Candidates age must be 16.5 to 19 years. Candidates must have 12th pass result with 50% marks from any recognized board. Your Height and chest should be good. candidates should be unmarried. |

Of course, dear, you are eligible for NDA examination. conducted by UPSC every years. because the minimum educational qualification for indian army through NDA(national defence academy) is 12th degree or equivalent for army.and with physic & maths for navy & air force. the age limit for this examination is 16.5-19. there is no kind of age relaxation for SC\SR\OBC candidates. marital status - unmarried. thanks!! |

Re: Will I be able to apply for Army if I chose PCB in 12th? hi dear, maths is the core subject for NDA , there are three branch in NDA..... 1.AIR FORCE 2. NAVAL WING 3.ARMY WING in air & naval branch PCM is compulsary subjects . but for army wing there is no such kinds of restrictions. good luck |

this is because pcb means physics , chemistry and biology. nda requirement is of pcm means physics , chemistry and maths . even paper of maths comes of 300 marks. about 120 questions. nda prepares officers of army , navy and air force. these all comes from pcm. good luck Quote:

Re: Will I be able to apply for Army if I chose PCB in 12th? A candidate who has completed 12th class from any stream can apply in the Indian Army. But if want to get higher education then 12th class pass out students are not eligible only the graduate and post graduate students are allowed. Indian Army invites the application through the NDA exam which is to be conducted twice in a year. In this NDA exam only 12th pass students are eligible whose age is not over. |

Re: Will I be able to apply for Army if I chose PCB in 12th? Hello Dear, NO, you are not eligible after 12th in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. In India, army is the most important part of defence. To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams. Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Educational Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 % aggregate marks from a regonised board. Age Eligibility For Indian Army - 16 Years to 21 Years. Physical Eligibility For Indian Army - A candidate should be physically and mentally fit. 1. Eye Sight = 6/6, 2. Height = 167 cms, 3. Weight: 50 Kg 4. Chest: 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding) Best of Luck |

The National Defence Academy Exam(NDA) is conducted twice in a year .This exam is conducted by the UPSC. The eligibility criteria required for the NDA exam is given below: Education Qualification So for the Army wing in NDA you should be 12th pass in any discipline. Candidate appeared in the 12th board exam are also eligible to apply for the NDA exam. AGE LIMIT Candidate applyinf for the NDA exam should have age between 16.5 to 19 years. Yes you are Eligibile But not For AIR Force because you will be Writing NDA after 12th or At the Time of Appearing 12 you can Write NDA Exam. NDA exam has Three Option One is Naval Academy , Secondly Army and Third one is Air Force. If you want go for Army then its No Problem because For NDA Army You can have Biology But for cracking NDA mathematics is a Subject in which you need to put Extra efforts from some where like in Coaching for Cracking NDA. If you want To go ARMY then Its better to take Mathematics because you will have More chances then.. You can Go for TES i.e Technical Entry Scheme after 12 with PCM marks. You can opt For Air force etc etc. So choose Your own Option if you are Interested Medicals then Take Biology but its no use of choosing Biology in 12th if you are Not opting for Medicals in Future. Mathematics is A Evergreen Subject one is Deliberately opting for. |

Career option for PCB student Generally for defence PCM is required Soldier Nursing Assistant 10+2/ Intermediate exam pass in science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject. No Weightage for higher qualification. 17½-23 Years |

Like whether you would like to NDA or CDSE etc. For each of these there are specific requirement. Also you need to make sure that you are physically fit for the same. |
