Re: Minimum percentage required in intermediate to join Aeronautical Engineering?

For Aeronautical Engineering course candidate must have passed 12th class from a recognized board of education. The duration of this course is 4 years. Th minimum age of candidate must be 17 years. Also you need to appear in entrance examination to get admission in Aeronautical Engineering. As you want to know minimum percentage required in intermediate to join Aeronautical Engineering here, I am going to tell you the same:

Minimum percentage required :The minimum percentage required for Aeronautical Engineering in your 12th class is 50%. 45% in the case of candidate belonging to reserved category. Most of the colleges offer admission in Aeronautical Engineering course in basis of merit of candidate's 12th standard board examination. But, some top colleges conduct their own entrance examination to offer admission in its Aeronautical Engineering course.

As per the eligibility criteria a candidate must have done 12th with non medical stream from recognised board and percentage should not be less than 60 and 55 for the candidates belong to reserved categories.
You have to appear in the entrance exam known as Joint Entrance Examination Mains and Advanced. Once you qualify the Mains exam you will be eligible to appear in the Advanced to get admission in top IITs of our country.

Re: Minimum percentage required in intermediate to join Aeronautical Engineering?

Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering is an undergraduate Aeronautical Engineering course. The duration of this course is four years.

For Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering course candidate must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board. The minimum percentage required in intermediate class for Aeronautical engineering is 45%. The minimum age of candidate must be 17 years.

The admission of candidate will be done on the basis of Entrance examination (Joint Entrance examination) so my suggestion to you is that you need to score good marks in the entrance examination after that you can apply for Aeronautical Engineering course in good government college.

Re: Minimum percentage required in intermediate to join Aeronautical Engineering?

Aeronautical engineering is one of the engineering branch which deals with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It is a four-year undergraduate degree course in the field of aeronautics.

To be eligible to pursue Aeronautical Engineering, you should have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a Government recognised board. You should secured at least 60% aggregate marks in Intermediate to get admission in Aeronautical Engineering course in better college.

To get admission in Aeronautical Engineering course, you have to appear in National or State or University level engineering entrance examinations like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, EAMCET, KCET, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc.,. If you qualify the entrance examination, you will be called for counselling process and you will be allotted a seat in the college which you are eligible to get admission for pursuing Aeronautical Engineering course.

There is no such percentage criteria for taking admission in Aeronautical Engineering.

However, you must be 10+2 passed/appearing with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your primary subjects.

Then only, you can appear for engineering entrance exams and after qualifying it you can opt for Aeronautical branch in engineering college.

Entrance exams include:
  • JEE Main
  • JEE Advanced
  • VITEE
  • SRMEE
  • BITSAT
  • COMEDK
  • KITEE, etc.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks, then you are eligible for B.E/B.Tech in Aeronautical entrance exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.
