Each NIT has just few SC seats and your marks are too low. May be you have just qualified the gate exam. But its difficult to say anything as I dont know much about the cut off in your stream. Provide cut off in your stream. Being a EC branch, competition is high with lots of people appearing for gate exam. many people appear for gate exam for getting into PSU, if they cant get, they target NIT and IIT for M.Tech.
