Good afternoon sir or mam, I have recently completed my M.Sc (maths) ,now l wanna Ph.D . for this I want your help pls guide me which or what topic should I choose for PH.D.I have better command in algebra. Also tell what way is the easiest for me to do this because I belong to such a family which cannot afford fees for PH.D. but I assure you that I will get more than 70% in entrance exam. Re: How to do Ph.D after studying MSc in mathematics? Hi Guest, To do Ph.D or Doctorate Degree after M.Sc in Mathematics you have to Qualify National Eligibility Test(NET). NET is conducted every year by University Grants Commission(UGC) to get admission for Ph.D in Various Indian Universities. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NET: * Candidate have to score at least 55% in Master's degree to qualify for NET.50% required for SC/ST/OBC candidates. * Age of the candidate must be at least 22 years. SELECTION PROCESS: -> NET Qualifying Score. -> Interview conducted by University. In Mathematics Graph Theory is a good stream to do Ph.D. Regards, er.animesh6 |

Re: How to do Ph.D after studying MSc in mathematics? Hello Friend Students who have completed post graduate they are all eligible to do Ph.d . Many educational institutes in our country offer students the Phd course in mathematics. One who want Ph.D First of the they will written entrance exam. One who clear the entrance exam with good marks shall be called for personal interview. They offer institutes according to merit. The question paper pattern for the Ph.D shall have 2 parts. in part A 10 question will be given. out of these, 6 have to be answered carry 40 marks. in part B also 10 questions will be given. in the 6 have to be answered carry 60 marks. The questions shall come in Abstract Algebra Complex analysis Elements of Numerical Analysis Linear Algebra Ordinary Differential Equations Partial Differential equations and Real analysis The price of the Phd admission form of the TIFR is 500. |
