Re: IAS exam after Microbiology(Hons.)? Thats good you want to do higher studies. Also you are eligible for IAS after graduation. The IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year. The minimum Eligibility conditions are Educational Qualification: Candidate must be a graduate in any field. Final YEAR students can apply. Age Limits: Candidate must be between 21-30 years of age as on 1st August of the year of the exam. So after graduation you are eligible but not before. For details, visit: www.upsc.gov.in |

Selection Procedure - CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) if you clear this then - Civil Services Main examination after qualifying in this you will get call for - Interview. Eligibility Criteria: Age criteria :must have age in between 21-30 years for General category, for OBC : 21-33 years, for SC/ST : 21-35 years. Academic qualification :Candidate should have a bachelors degree from a recognized university. Number of attempts : For General category candidates : 4 times For OBC : 7 times For SC/ST : No limit. IAS is an central service and also deeply regarded as the most prestigious job.. this service there are other 24 services for which a common entrance test is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination ->Candidate must have 21 years of age ->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University this is all about the basic eligibility criteria of CSE As per your qualification if you have completed Degree then definitely you are eligible for the exam.. The eligibility for the IAS exam will be graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. The age limit should be 21-30 years. So after completion of graduation you can apply for IAS exam. but now you can concentrate on 12th so that you can get admission in Microbiology easily. Good luck!! |

Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice). |

You can take up the IAS exam immediately after u finish ur degree or can take up after some preparation..
