NEET ( National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test ) is a common entrance examination conducted for admission of candidates in the medical courses. The age limit to appear for the examination is :- Minimum - 17 years. Maximum - 25 years. Relaxation in age for reserved category and the age limit will be on the basis of 31/12 and the year will be the year of appearing for examination. So, you are not eligible to appear for examination. Re: Candidate who born in year 1992 can appear in NEET 2017? No, you are not eligible to appear for the NEET examination as you will be above 25 years as on 31st December 2017. The maximum age limit to appear for the examination is 25 years. The examination is conducted by CBSE for admission of candidates in medical courses as in MBBS and BDS. Earlier there used to be conducted so many medical entrance examination like AIPMT, certain medical entrance examination was conducted by private medical colleges, state medical entrance exams etc. Due to all these and less transparent admission process, there was huge and rampant corruption in admission process like donation fees for less meritorious candidates. Supreme court of India in order to make admission process transparent and based on merit of candidates introduced National Eligibility cum Entrance Test as single pan India entrance exam for admission of candidates in all medical colleges irrespective of whether it is private or government in MBBS and BDS course. MBBS or BDS aspirants must be minimum of 17 years or maximum of 25 years on 31st December of year in which they appear for NEET. There is five years upper age relaxation to students who belong to SC, ST or Other Backward Class. You have clearly stated that you belong to general category. You will complete your 17 years much before 31st December 2017, cutting it short, you are not eligible for NEET 2017. |

According to sources,the Test will be in may,2017,and in February 2017,your age will be completely 25. This means,you are eligible for test,and this is your last chance Good luck |

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and same is a national level medical entrance examination held for providing admission in MBBS or BDS courses in any medical colleges of India as per the performance in same examination. * The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in NEET 2017 are as here under :- a) You must have the nationality of India with your age lying between 17 years to 25 years till the 31st December 2017. Age relaxation of 5 years is provided to reserved category candidates. b) You must have either completed your Class 12th or reading in the same Class with PCB group with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board of education. Relaxation of 10% marks in minimum qualification marks is applicable for reserved category candidates. So being born on 07/02/1992 you are not eligible for appearing in NEET 2017 as your age by the deadline date i.e; 31st December 2017 will exceed the maximum age limit i.e; 25 years for a general category candidate. Age criteria required to appear in NEET 2017 examination is mentioned below :- => You should be at least 17 years old as on 31st December, 2017 and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 31st December, 2017 to be eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination. => Upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules to appear in NEET 2017 examination. => Candidates born on or between 01/01/87 to 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category) and 01/01/92 to 01/01/2000 (Other Category) are eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, your DOB was 07/02/1992, so, if you belong to SC/ ST/ OBC category, you are eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination else, you are not eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination. |

Since you have mentioned that your year of birth is 1992 and your age according to 2017 will be 25 years. So, yes you have a last chance to appear for NEET 2017 examination. In short, I will say Yes, you can apply for NEET 2017. |

Those who want to do MBBS or BDS course from any government or private medical college has to appear for this examination. Age limit for examination: Minimum age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years on 31st December of year of examination. You will complete your age of 25 years on 07th February, 2017 and so, you are not eligible for NEET 2017 examination. |
