Well actually my date of birth is 07/02/1992. Sir please tell me i am eligible for sit in NEET 2017? My state is Bihar and i belong to general category.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

Those who want to do MBBS or BDS course from any government or private medical college has to appear for this examination.

Eligibility for NEET 2017:

1. Candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or appeared in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with 50% marks minimum.

3. The candidate must have completed the age of 17 years but the age should not be more than 25 years for General category, for SC/ST /OBC candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.

Since you have mentioned that your year of birth is 1992 and your age according to 2017 will be 25 years. So, yes you have a last chance to appear for NEET 2017 examination. In short, I will say Yes, you can apply for NEET 2017.

As you belong to General category,there is no age relaxation.

According to sources,the Test will be in may,2017,and in February 2017,your age will be completely 25.

Earlier there used to be conducted so many medical entrance examination like AIPMT, certain medical entrance examination was conducted by private medical colleges, state medical entrance exams etc. Due to all these and less transparent admission process, there was huge and rampant corruption in admission process like donation fees for less meritorious candidates.

Supreme court of India in order to make admission process transparent and based on merit of candidates introduced National Eligibility cum Entrance Test as single pan India entrance exam for admission of candidates in all medical colleges irrespective of whether it is private or government in MBBS and BDS course.

MBBS or BDS aspirants must be minimum of 17 years or maximum of 25 years on 31st December of year in which they appear for NEET. There is five years upper age relaxation to students who belong to SC, ST or Other Backward Class. You have clearly stated that you belong to general category. You will complete your 17 years much before 31st December 2017, cutting it short, you are not eligible for NEET 2017.
