So, it is not possible to give you the date for examination and the eligibility criteria for examination. |

Re: SCRA 2017 will be conducted or not? Eligibility and date of SCRA 2017 exam? No, SCRA will not be conducted in 2017. Railway recruitment board has officially scrapped this recruitment process. SCRA seats have been given to ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION (ESE). |

About SCRA examination: UPSC used to conduct this exam upto year 2015 for selection of candidates for Bachelor's degree in technology from BIT Mesra and then job in Indian Railways. But in 2016, it was held that it will not be conducted further. Present status of SCRA exam: It is not in existence and conducted by UPSC. |

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice and examination till 2015 was conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment of about 42 candidates. The examination was scrapped out from 2016 and was not conducted in 2016 and even no updates regarding the examination to be conducted in 2017. So, it is not possible to appear for examination if the examination will be not conducted. |

Last time it was conducted in 2015, after that it is not conducted. Earlier, science stream candidates with mathematics were eligible for this examination. |

SCRA examination was not conducted in 2016 and no any updates regarding the examination that it will be going to be conducted in 2017. So, you will be no eligible to appear for examination. Earlier the examination was conducted by UPSC. So, to get any updates regarding the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

SCRA refers to Special Class Railway Apprentice and same was an entrance examination held by UPSC once every year till 2014 for selection of deserving candidates for providing necessary education for their recruitment as engineer in Indian Railways. Now as I have mentioned that same examination was held till 2014 only and there is no notification of same to be held this year hence its eligibility does not matters. But for your information the basic qualifications required for SCRA were :- * One must have the nationality of India. * One's age must lie within 17 years to 21 years. * One must have completed his/her higher secondary school degree with PCM group as main subjects with at least 45% from a recognized board. |

SCRA ( Special Class Railway Apprentice ) examination was earlier conducted by UPSC for recruitment of candidates in railway as an officer. Now, there is no SCRA examination from 2016 onwards.
