I am a student of class 12 and will be appearing in my class 12th exam in march 2017. Am I eligible to write SCRA exam 2017. When is the exam and what is the date when one can apply.

SCRA ( Special Class Railway Apprentice ) examination was earlier conducted by UPSC for recruitment of candidates in railway as an officer.

Now, there is no SCRA examination from 2016 onwards. So, there is no chance of appearing in examination.

SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice. This exam was earlier conducted by Union Public Service Commission. But now this exam has been scrapped.

It will not be conducted. So, you can not apply for SCRA exam.

SCRA refers to Special Class Railway Apprentice and same was an entrance examination held by UPSC once every year till 2014 for selection of deserving candidates for providing necessary education for their recruitment as engineer in Indian Railways.

Now as I have mentioned that same examination was held till 2014 only and there is no notification of same to be held this year hence its eligibility does not matters. But for your information the basic qualifications required for SCRA were :-

* One must have the nationality of India.

* One's age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* One must have completed his/her higher secondary school degree with PCM group as main subjects with at least 45% from a recognized board.

SCRA examination was not conducted in 2016 and no any updates regarding the examination that it will be going to be conducted in 2017.

So, you will be no eligible to appear for examination. Earlier the examination was conducted by UPSC.
