If I graduate from Commerce feild because I really like to do math, is there any problem for taking math as an optional subject then plz tell sir. |

Re: Suitable optional subjects in IAS exam for Commerce student? There are three stages of Civil Services examination: 1. Preliminary examination. 2. Mains Examination. 3. Interview. The best optional subjects for Commerce stream candidates are "Economics or Commerce and Accountancy. You can select either of them according to your interest. There are two papers of one optional subject of 250 marks each. |

Re: Suitable optional subjects in IAS exam for Commerce student? If you are a Commerce student, then you should choose those subjects which are relevant to your stream. Also, you can choose those subjects in which you have your keen interest. List of the subjects for IAS Main exam include:  In this way, it will help you to prepare well for your exams and apparently, you will not lose your interest in preparation. |

Choose one you are interested in or there are many other options waiting for you. Use internet and see previous year question papers, guidance available and make a wise decision |

If you are from Commerce stream then also you can choose any other subjects also. Some of the optional subjects are as under:- History Political Science Geography Maths Physics Agriculture Studies Finance Accounts Hindi English Economics |
