It is completely your choice whether you want to join a diploma course or you want to re appear Yes, you will get admission in diploma course on the basis of your 10 standard It will be better if you re appear for the exam as you have already studied 11 and 12 than you must go further for degree programme |

Respected sir, I have just now passed 12th science but my dream is to become a aerospace engineer through IIT Bombay but just now I came to know that I doesn't belong to their eligibility criteria solo pl sir inform me that if I want to again appear for 12th board exam than is it possible to improve my marks and after that I will be eligible for btech course or not as to appear again for 12th I have to complete again 4sem and it will take 2yrs so after that I will be eligible for getting admission of btech course through IIT Bombay...pl sir reply me fast as possible I m eagerly waiting for it |

I suggest that you should first focus on completing your btech. Since you have a backlog it means that you need to work harder and study harder. So check the rules at your university and reappear in the exam. Working meanwhile may appear to be a good option but will result into diverting you away from gaining your degree which is more important. Jobs / opportunities are always available and better for graduates than for drop outs. |

Either way you can fulfill your dream to take up an engineering course - A Diploma or Degree. The question is what is your final destination that you have decide. If you want to stay with Diploma then I would not suggest to again go for 12th and just push forward for admission to diploma on the basis on 10th. Otherwise even if you want to acquire engineering degree and also if you find 12th difficult, you may push for diploma on the basis of 10th. Lagging your friends by 3 years etc. are issues just emotional and really don't have any significance now as that something has happened can not be reversed. Looking forward - after diploma there are many career options, including going for degree in engineering (direct admission to 2nd year in most colleges). Of course if you are confident of passing 12th with good marks this time, you may go for it. Make better efforts and with good score along with score in engineering entrance you may secure a seat in engineering. Hi Dear friend, Now both the options are with you, to reappear in class 12th or Join in Diploma. To get admission in Diploma is not so simple you have to clear the entrance exam then only you can get the admission. Diploma is a three years course, after completing diploma you can take admission in engineering through lateral entry in the 2nd year. You can reappear in 12th, after completing 12th you can appear in engineering entrance exam, then you can get admission in engineering. I've much shame in saying that I've failed in my 12th board exams. I have already repeated standard 8 due to family issues, and am not willing to wait an entire year, doing nothing productive. I am completely clueless whether I have any options left. What can I do now? Can I take any diploma course? I've plenty of interest in music and cooking. My friends tell me I've good english. According to these interests and qualities, what can I do? The marks I had attained in 10th were all that good, either. I just escaped by getting on-the-line marks and passing. Someone, please help. My parents aren't willing to talk to me since I've failed. There's no one I can turn to. Expert advise would be really helpful and appreciated. Thank you. |

MY DEAR IT TOTALLY DEPENDS UPON YOU WHAT TO CHOOSE DIPLOMA COURSES Diploma is a three year course.It has got many courses in it like Electronics and telecommunication,Electrical,Mechanical,Hotel Management courses..etc.Many of the students normally prefer Engineering streams because after going through the diploma course they have an option of getting back to the Engineering stream by going through exams like IIT,AIEEE..etc. But in your case since you have already studied 11th and 12th it will be better if you continue with your course itself i.e 12th.If you want to join Diploma then you will be lagging behind your Batch mates by three years.Many of the State Boards have already conducted their Diploma Entrance test hence you cannot apply for the applications now.So,going through the supplementary exam next year will be a better option according to me. |
