Hi dear,

Eligibility Criteria of IAS exam.

Age limits : 21-30 years.

The candidate must possess a degree from an Indian University or an

educational institution deemed as a University or possess an equivalent

qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in

the Preliminary Examination.


The candidate must have attained 21 years of age on August 1st of the year

of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. The

upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for

SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit is also relaxed in favor of certain

categories of civil servants working under the Government of India and

Defense Services Personnel.

Sir!!!
You want to serve the nation, which is very appreciable. In order to become a IAS (INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE) Officer, you must have to clear the civil service examination.

As you said that, you have completed your graduation, you can appear in this examination. As the minimum educational requirement for apply in this exam is a graduation degree in any stream but from a recognized college.

This civil service examination is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONevery year.

This civil service examination has three stages to be clear in the way of a IAS aspirant--

First of all the most important criteria is person have to be citizen of India .

Age -i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

There is no specific exam as IAS exam. To become an IAS(Indian Administrative Service) officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National. He should have either appaered Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

There is a restriction for number of attempts to Civil Service Exam:-

For General Candidate - 4 attempts
For OBC candidate - 7 attempts
when there is no such restriction to number of attempts for SC/ST candidate.

Civil Service Exam can be applied through both off line and on line mode.

The application can be purchased from all GPO in India.
Through on line aplication will be made through website http://www.upsconline.nic.in

Information regarding the IAS examination:-

1.) The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field.

2.) Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 year relaxation for the SC/ST candidate

and 3 years relaxation for the OBC.

3.) In order to sit for the mains paper , you need to clear the CSAT conducted by the

UPSC.

The basic criterion to appear in the IAS exam is to have a graduation. Candidates from any field can apply for the exam. Each candidate must be below 30 years of age as to appear in the exam. Candidates from reservation category will get few more years as to appear in the exam. The form for IAS exam is available from different post office. Please visit the official website for more information.

The candidates applying for the IAS exam have to have a degree from a recognized university. Those in their final years can also appear in the exam. The age of the candidate should be above 21 years and must not be above than 30 years. There is 5 year age relaxation for SC and ST and 3 year for OBC candidates.

You can give your IAS exam after completing your graduation course.You need to complete your graduation course for giving CSAT examination conducted by the UPSC board.There is no minimum marks criteria you need for CSAT examination.
