Re: Meaning of EBC and who are considered under this category? EBC means Economically Backward Classes Who do not belongs to any Disadvantage social category such as Scheduled Caste, OBC other backward class,ST schedule tribe. And those family whose annual income is less than 1 lac belong to EBC. |

I have not get information about EBC scholarship during admission in 2016 ,but now I get informed by my friend . So I have question that can I apply for EBC scholarship 2017-18 ? I am studying in 2nd year. Please inform me.. |

Re: Meaning of EBC and who are considered under this category? EBC stands for Economically Backward Class. Candidate's whose family annual income is less than one lakh rupees and does not belong to SC, ST and OBC category are considered under EBC category. For example, candidates who belong to OC category and family annual income is less than Rs. 1 lakh then, they are considered as EBC category candidates. The respective state or central government helps the EBC category students by providing fee exemption or scholarship for pursuing their higher studies. |
