Indian Army Clerk Exams Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.

Age: 17-23 Years

Educational Qualifications:
10 2/Intermediate exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject. Weightage for higher qualification.

*** Dispensation of educational qualification as per the rules.

Indian Army Clerk Written Exams

Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written test.

Paper-I : It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability, General knowledge and current affairs.

Duration of papers is 60 minutes.
Total marks 100
Pass Marks 32

Paper-II : It generally comprises of Maths & English (Language Proficiency).

Duration - 30 minutes.
Total marks 50 marks
Pass Marks-16.

In addition to paper 1 Sol Clk has to qualify in their respective paper.

Pay Scale for Indian Army Officers:

Pay Structure and other Allowances for Army Officers and equivalent ranks in Air Force and Navy

Stipend for Cadet Training

Gentlemen cadets receive a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs. 15,600/- as pay in Pay Band plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-) during the entire duration of training. The period of training is not treated as commissioned service.

Lieutenant to Major Rs.15,600-39,100(PB-3)
Lieutenant Colonel to Major Rs. 37,400-67,000(PB-4)
General Lieutenant Gen HAG Rs. 67,000 (annual scale increment @ 3%) – 79,000
General Lieutenant Gen HAG Rs. 67,000 (annual scale increment @ 3%) – 79,000
VCOAS/Army Cdr /Lt Gen(NFSG) Rs. 80,000(fixed)
COAS Rs. 90,000 (fixed)

Grade Pay:

Lieutenant Rs.5,400/-
Captain Rs.6,100/-
Major Rs.6,600/-
Leiutant Colonel Rs.8,000/-
Colonel Rs.8,700/-
Brigadier Rs.8,900/-
Major General Rs.10,000/-

A fixed sum of Rs.6, 000/- p.m. is also payable as Military Service Pay (MSP) to the officers from the rank of Lt to Brig.
