English language- error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposositions,articles, etc), vocabulary, spellings, grammer, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms,phrase, completion of sentence, idioms. 2. General Awareness- geography, economic, general policy, scientific research, etc. 3. Arithmetic- simple maths till class 10 syllabus Eligibility:: You should have done your graduation in any streams You should not be more then 27 years and less then 18 years of age .Some relaxation in upper age for SC/ST and OBC students is given. For SC/ST 5 years in upper age limit is relaxed where as for the OBC 3 years in upper age limit is relaxed General Intelligence Reasoning General Awareness Numerical Aptitude English Comprehension ******** ncome Tax Officer Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit the Income Tax Officer. Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for INCOME TAX OFFICER exam. To become Income Tax officer you have to pass the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public. Also your age should be in between 18 years to 25 years. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. The examination is conduct two ways (i) Written examination (ii) Interview for Personality Test for such candidates as may qualify in the written test. S. No. Test Marks Time (min) 1 General Intelligence 120 2 General English 80 3 Arithmetical Ability 80 4 General Awareness 120 (i) Physical Standards (Minimum) Height 157.5 cms Chest 81 cms (ii) Physical Test: Walking cycling 1600 metres in 15 minutes 8 Km in 30 minutes Application form:For the next exam the application form will be available from first week of February 2012 at SSC official website at http://www.ssconline.nic.in |

The test will also include History, Geography, Economic, General policy, Scientific Research etc. |

Syllabus : SSC : T ax Assistant (IncomeTax & Central Excise Dept.) 1.Examination Paper I (Objective Type) Part A: English Language: Questions in this component will be designed to test the candidate's understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), vocabulary, spellings, Grammar, sentence-structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words, etc. There will be a question on passages and comprehension of passages also. The standard of the questions will be only of 10+2 level. Part B: General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimedat testing the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. " -> good mental, physical ability is needed to with stand any kind of task. -> eligibility:- - candidate having degree in any disciplinary from recognised university are eligible. - The age limit as per exam must be in between 18yrs to 27 yrs. -> physical standard :- -> Height -> 157.5cm -> Chest -> 81cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm or more. It consists of two papers (a) General awareness and General intelligence (PART-A)- 100 questions of 100 marks (b) Arithmetic (PART-B)- 100 questions of 100 marks. Main Examination: Candidates qualified in the preliminary exam becomes eligible for the main exam. Main Exam consists of two part. PART A will be of written examination and PART B will be of personality test. Subjects- (a) General Studies (200 marks, duration 3 hours) (b) English (100 marks, duration 2 hour 20 minutes) (c) Arithmetic (200 marks, duration 4 hours) (d) Language (100 marks, duration 2 hour 20 minutes) (e) Communication skill and writing (200 marks, 2 hour 20 minute) Personality Test: This is the final part, in this interview is conducted. The interviewer checks the mental ability and personality of the candidate through this interview. |
