I want to change my profession. can you please suggest me what will be best area. I am also looking for Army(Airforce, Navy, Army). is it possible to join at indian army at this age if yes then what's mode for joining this. |

Re: Indian Army after age 23? After 23 years you are eligible to join Indian Army through CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year after Graduation in any stream. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final Graduation degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. Re: Indian Army after age 23?  dear,... Friend, you can appear, for the COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE (CDS)examination, which is conducted by the Union public service commission (UPSC). The educational requirement for appear in this examination is a graduation degree,. For Indian naval & air force aspirant, you must have Physics & maths in graduation with at lest 60% aggregate.Otherwise you can only apply for the Indian military academy Exam pattern-  The age limit for this examination is - 19-22 years for the Indian navy(NA), 19-23 years for the Indian air force(IAF), 19-25 year for the Indian military academy (IMA) There is not any kind of age limit relaxations is applicable for any reserved category. After completing your graduation level,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Army. There are some selection procedure such as: Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recuirt the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA) According to the Eligibility Criteria: i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University. ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE). iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE) Age Limit: i)For IMA:19-24 Years ii)For OTA:19-23 Years iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years iv)For AFA :19-25 Years |

Re: Indian Army after age 23? Dear friend, To join army age limit for graduate candidates is 20 to 23 years. To join army age limit for post graduate candidates is 20 to 25 years. As you are completing 23 years age in the month of Sep 11, so I think you are not eligible for army after graduation. |

The permanent commission provides opportunities for men graduate degree to join army as officers through graduate direct entry scheme. The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent. Age limit: Candidate should be in the age of 19-24. The course commences each year in the month of January and July.
