Sir,.
Its good to know that, you want to serve the nation.
As you have completed your graduation , so you are eligible for this civil service examination.Because the minimum educational requirement for eligibility for this exam is a graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized college.

IPS Stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVE & IFS stands for INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE.
These exa,s are conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC). every year.

This exam have three stages to be clear-
1. CSAT (CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST)
2. MAINS
3.INTERVIEW...

The age limit for this examination is 21-30 years,.As there are 3 & 5 years of the age relaxations are also applicable for the OBC & SC\ST candidates.

HEY FRIEND,
THE AGE LIMIT FOR IPS/IFS IS PERSON HAVE TO BE BETWEEN 21-30years. THERE IS A RELAXMENT FOR SC/ST UPTO 5 YEARS.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION IS CANDIDATES NEED TO PASS THEIR GRADUATION WITH 50 PERCENTAGE FOR GENERAL AND 45 PERCENTAGE FOR SC/ST IN ANY STREAM FROM RECOGNIZED COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY.

IPS/IFS both are the civil services exams .
Civil services exam conducted by upsc once a year

Educational qualification :

Candidates must be complete degree from recognized university

Age limit :

Min of age limit 21 years as on 1st august during which they will write exam
Max age 30 years for
general candidates
Age relaxation as per govt rules
3 years age relaxation for obc candidates
5 years age relaxation for sc / st candidates

you are age limit between 21 to 30 years
upper age relaxation as per gout rules to the OBC , SC/ST Candidates

Age-limits

• 21-30 Years on 1st July of the year of examination

• Certain categories of persons as specified such as Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes etc are eligible for age relaxation.

can an OBC candidate appear in IAS exam through a general category.
i am an OBC candidate but appeared in IAS 2011 & 12 as a general candidate but now i have crossed the 30 years of age limit for a general candidate & i want to appear in IAS 2013 through an OBC category as it provides an exemption of 3 years can i do so.

Friend as per your given personal information you are eligible for public service commission jobs...

the various eligible criteria to be full filled by each appearing students is given below..

Eligibility criteria:-

1)student have passed in a degree from any recognized University,

2)candidate must be a citizen of India,

AGE LIMIT

- minimum age limit is 21 years that must be completed by the 1st AUGUST of that year,

Age relaxation:-

- for GENERAL-30,
- for OBC-33,
- for SC/ST-35;
- and for EX-SERVICEMEN will have 5 Years

No of attempts:-

- General-4

- OBC-7

- SC/ST- any number of times

Selection procedure:-

The examination consist of 3 stages....

1)Preliminary examination(normally conducted during the second half of may)

2)Main examination (for selected members in main exam)

3)Interview (for students selected in both the above examination..)

preliminary examination:-

General Studies-150 marks

Optional subject-300 marks

The age limitation criteria is as follows:-

General category:- 21-30 years.

OBC:- 21-33 years.

SC/St:- 21-35 years.

The minimum educational qualification required is to a graduate in any field.

General categories get 4 , OBC get 7 while SC/ST candidates has unlimited attemots to clear the exam.

age limit for IPS/IFS is from 21 year to 30 year .candidate age must be according to this limit to be eligible.

in addition to this relaxation is provided for OBC and SC/ST category

for SC/ST relaxation of 5 year is provided on maximum age

for OBC category relaxation of 3 year is provided on maximum age.

IPS (Indian Police Service or Indian Postal Service) and IFS (Indian Foreign Service) examinations are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Age Limit for IPS / IFS Exam are as follows: -

IPS/IFS both exam are conducted by UPSC in every year.
For IPS/IFS exam the minimum age must be 21 years and the
maximum age must be 30 years. So i think that you are eligible.

Age limit


A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:

1. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.

2. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes.

3. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989.

4. upto a maximum of 3 years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled during hostilities with foreign countries or in a disturbed area and consequently released.

5. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on August 1 of the year of examination and have been released:

1. on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from August 1 of the year of examination) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency,
2. on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service, or
3. on invalidment.

6. upto a maximum of 5 years in the case of ECOs / SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment (5 years Military Service) as on August 1 of the year of examination and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years. Such candidates will have to provide a certificate from the Ministry of Defence stating that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on a notice of 3 months, upon selection, from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.

7. upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates.

AGE LIMIT FOR IPS/IFS:

21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing.
Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .

For the same 21 years of age must be completed by 1 aug of the year
Max age for general is 30, for obc is 33, sc/st-35 while ex-servicemen get 5 years of exemption

The candidate should be between the ages of 21 and 30 as on 1st of August of the year of examination. There are relaxations in the upper age limit in cases like SC/ST, OBC

candidates, etc.

Eligible for the exam any degree holder from any recognized university in the country. Final year students, awaiting results are also eligible.There is no minimum percentage.
