The eligibility criteria for IITJEE is given below:- 1)The candidate should not be more than 25 years of age(general/OBC) and 30 years of age(SC/ST/PD) 2)The candidate should have secured at least 60% in class XII(general/OBC) and 55%(SC/ST/PD) 3)No candidate can sit for mre than 2 times 4)A candidate can appear either in the year of appearing for class 12 or just the year after that. You have to qualify all the four points listed above. As far as your marks are considered, you are eligible. best of luck!!! |

For IIT-JEE 2012, Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in 10+2. Then only, they will be considered eligible. |

Educational qualification for the exam- *Candidate should have qualify his/her high school exam with min. 60% (general category) aggregate in PCM, as subject, or equivalent. Well initially there used to be no cutoff for IIT JEE but after 2007 IIT's decided to put marks criteria in the IIT JEE exam to reduce count of students . Eligibility for IIT JEE You must have passed 12th examination with minimum 60% marks .For SC/ST you must have secured 55 % atleast to sit in exam . You can apply for it only 2 consecutive times.Ist when you are in 12th class and 2 nd times after passing 12th .No candidate is allow to take more then two exams .And if you have applied after passing 12th class Ist time then it will be your last attempt This year IIT JEE exam is over so you have to apply for next year and that will be your final attempt so prepare well as it not an easy exam to crack easily . |

Either of these qualification will be consider... One must score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate that is 60% overall percentage including Physics,chemistry and Maths in your qualifying exam for GENERAL AND OBC..and 55% for SC/ST,PD... That mean you are absolutely eligible for the exam.. |

Only Non medical Students are eligible And a student must have minimum 60% marks in 12th class.. Now How to crack IIT- Below are the some useful tips- Total paper of IIT-JEE, AIEEE and other exams are based on NCERT Books. None of question is not out of 11th and 12th standard Books. So firstly concentrate on CBSE issued NCERT books. Of course For clearing doubts and concepts you have to buy another book away from NCERT.. So on the basis my companion HC verma and ARIHANT books are very good to study to understand concepts easily.. OR you can go for FITJEE Notes they are difficult to read but seriously they are very helpful to you.. |
