I have appeared 12th with 68 percent am i eligible to appear in iit...am i eligible for the exam?

Yes Why Not..?
The eligibility criteria is -
12th appearing or appeared students are eligible..
Only Non medical Students are eligible
And a student must have minimum 60% marks in 12th class..

Now How to crack IIT-
Below are the some useful tips-
Total paper of IIT-JEE, AIEEE and other exams are based on NCERT Books.
None of question is not out of 11th and 12th standard Books.
So firstly concentrate on CBSE issued NCERT books.
Of course For clearing doubts and concepts you have to buy another book away from NCERT..
So on the basis my companion HC verma and ARIHANT books are very good to study to understand concepts easily..
OR you can go for FITJEE Notes they are difficult to read but seriously they are very helpful to you..

yes if you fulfill other eligibility criterion then surely you are eligible for IIT JEE. according to marks criterion you are eligible but you must fulfill age eligibility criterion to appear in iIT JEE examination and also maximum attempt in IIT JEE examination.

For IIT-JEE

your qualifying exam for IIT-JEE will be

• If you are 12th class passout or appearing
  
• else if you are diploma passout or appearing...

Either of these qualification will be consider...

One must score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate that is 60% overall percentage including Physics,chemistry and Maths in your qualifying exam for GENERAL AND OBC..and 55% for SC/ST,PD...

That mean you are absolutely eligible for the exam..

For appearing into the IITJEE one must score minimum of 60% in physics, chemistry, mathematics and also must score aggregate 60% marks.
So as you have score 68% so you are absolutely eligible for the IITJEE exam.

Yes, you are eligible for the IIT because the eligibility criteria says that you need to have at least 60% marks in physics,chemistry,maths . For reserved categories it is 55%.

Well initially there used to be no cutoff for IIT JEE but after 2007 IIT's decided to put marks criteria in the IIT JEE exam to reduce count of students .

Eligibility for IIT JEE

You must have passed 12th examination with minimum 60% marks .For SC/ST you must have secured 55 % atleast to sit in exam .

You can apply for it only 2 consecutive times.Ist when you are in 12th class and 2 nd times after passing 12th .No candidate is allow to take more then two exams .And if you have applied after passing 12th class Ist time then it will be your last attempt

This year IIT JEE exam is over so you have to apply for next year and that will be your final attempt so prepare well as it not an easy exam to crack easily .

IIT- JEE is one of the toughest entrance exam for a candidate to face.

The eligibility criteria needed for writing this exam is:

Eligibility:

1. The candidates must have finished +2 from a recognized board with 10th,12 pattern of school education.
2. For SC/ST/PD candidates it is 5 years from the prescribed age limits.
3. The candidates must submit their physical fitness certificate.
4. The candidates who pass the screening test are eligible for the Main exam.
5. The candidates must score 60% aggregate and for SC/ST candidates it is 55%.

Please note that IIT_JEE allows only two attempts to be taken in succession, 1st while

appearing 12th and 2nd attempt(if required) in the very next year

Now IIT has changed the % marks required.For General it is 80% marks in aggregate for physics,chemistry and maths & 60% in each.But if getting 68% in 12th you can give IIT JEE but you will not be admitted in IIT colleges.Rather you can get other famous colleges if you score well.

There is relaxation in percentage for reserved categories (upto 55% )

yea you are eligible for IIT JEE examination.

the eligibility criterion for IIT JEE examination is candidate should have minimum of 60% marks for general category candidate in aggregate in 12th or equivalent examination. for reserved candidate minimum percentage of marks requirement is 55%. as you have 68% marks in 12th so obviously you are eligible for IIT JEE examination.

i got in 12th exame 63% and in physics chemistry and maths i got 59% so i am eligible to give iit-jee exame
