Hence, they are able to apply for different branches of navy as such: (1)Naval Architecture (2)observer (3)Education (4)Logistics/works (5)Law (6)ATC{Air Traffic control Officer} For all of this, girls should possess Bachelor's degree according to their field. Re: How can girls join Indian Navy after passing class 12th? Indian Navy is one among the defence system of India. It recruits candidates through two exams namely the NDA exam and the CDS exam. NDA exam is conducted for the 12th pass students but girls are ineligible to apply for the Indian Navy after just passing 12th. Now the second option-CDS ,which is conducted twice a year for the graduate students allows girls to join army provided they have completed 12th with science stream. So the only option left with you to be selected in the Indian Navy is through CDS. |

She has to complete least graduation for several technical and non technical posts approved depending upon vacancy create. With graduation candidate must have done their 12th with maths and physics. So candidate who have completed HSC apart from science stream not eligible for Indian navy. After successful serving under Short service commission candidate can further work under permanent commission. NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. The eligible candidate being an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Health cam apply for NDA. Girls can apply for Indian Army/Indian Officer's Training Academy after Graduation through CDS(Combined Defence Service). For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Indian Navy can be joined through cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. But Girls are not eligible to join NDA as NDA is only meant for Male candidate so as a Girl candidate you are not eligible to join Indian Navy of NDA. The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Navy of NDA, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. NDA-I, NDA-II. This exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission). NDA has three wings: Indian army, Indian airforce, Indian navy. Educational qualification: 12th standard from a recognised state or central board. Percentage is not required for this exam. For airforce and navy wings you must have PCM subjects in 12th standard. Age criteria: Age limits is 16 1/2 years to 19 years. There is no relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates. Nationality: Citizen of india. Girls can not join Indian Navy after completion of 12th because after 12th the students have to give the NDA entrance exam and girls are not eligible for NDA.So girls are not eligible for it. NDA stands for National Defense Academy and it is an entrance exam which is done after completion of 12th with in any of the stream. If the student has done his/her 12th class with arts or commerce then he/she is only eligible for Indian Army not for Indian Air Force or Indian Navy.Because if the student want to go either for Indian Navy or for Indian Air force then he/she has to complete their 12th with science stream.  There are three civil services that are comes under NDA and those are as follows: 1.Indian Navy 2.Indian Air Force 3.Indian Military Girls are not eligible for any of the civil service after 12th because according to the UPSC,girls are not eligible for NDA. Eligibility criteria for NDA:- 1.You must be an Indian. 2.Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years. 3.Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6. 4.You must be physically fit. 5.Girls are not eligible for it. 6.Only an unmarried males are eligible for it. Girls can only apply after completion of graduation.They can complete their graduation with any of the field to apply for civil services.After graduation,girls have to give the CDS entrance exam.
