CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or pass in any stream or Engineering from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness can apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS. Re: Doing B.E(ECE) :How to join Indian Army? dear friend, After 12th or after graduation you can join Indian Army.As you are a candidate of 12th in commerce then you are also very much eligible for Indian Army.See you have to take information from different newspapers and websites when the vacancies of Navy will come and according to this you can apply. You can also apply for N.D.A. and C.D.S.(Common Defense Services). There generally two examination are held for N.D.A., one is N.D.A.-1 and another is N.D.A.-2.You can also attempt both this two exam. After that you have to appear for Combined Defence Services Examination through UPSC. After qualifying this examination you will have a direct entry. Being a candidate of EC engineer you can directly apply for the SSB interview. You can also apply by university entry scheme and can give direct campus SSB interview to get selected. Your age must be in between 19-24 years. |

Re: Doing B.E(ECE) :How to join Indian Army? Dear, Eligibility criteria for the INDIAN ARMY:- 10+2 pass candidates with physics, chemistry , maths with a minimum of 55-60% marks. Age limitation is between 16.5 -19 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it. Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion. More details:- http://indianarmy.nic.in/. IF you have c certificate then you can have direct entry for SSB chose according to your intrest |

As you are a graduate you can appear for C.D.S.E(combined defence services examination): UPSC conducts the Examination (CDSE) twice every year for the recruitment of officers in Army, Air Force and Navy. Candidates qualifying the written test are interviewed by the Service Selection Board and if finally selected, depending upon their preference and position in the merit list, are sent to one of the following institutes for orientation training: - (a) Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun (b) Naval Academy, Goa (c) Air Force Academy, Begumpet, Hyderabad (d) Officers Training Academy, Chennai PATTERN: The examination includes a written test, and those who qualify the written test are called for interview by the Service Selection Boards. The written test comprises of three papers of 2 hours duration each. The first paper is on English and second and third is on general knowledge and elementary mathematics respectively. AGE LIMIT: Applicants for IMA, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy must be unmarried males in the age group 18-23 years, 20-23 years and 21-23 years, as on 1st July of the year of examination, respectively. Married applicants, in the age group of 17-24 years are also eligible for OTA. You can also appear for UES(university entry scheme): UES (Final Year) – Born between 02 Jul 86 and 01 Jul 92 – Not below 19 years and not over 25 years. UES (Pre-Final Year) – Born between 02 Jul 87 and 01 Jul 93 – Not below 18 years and not over 24 years. Another mode of Examination is TGC(Technical Graduates Course): this entry is only for engineering graduates: Engineers : 57 posts (Civil-11, Electrical-8, Mechanical-8, Computer Science-5, Telecom-10, Electronics-06, IT-4, Production-3, Architecture-1, Food Tech./ Bio-Tech. – 1) |
