Minimum required criteria of physical fitness to apply for IAF:- Height : 162.5 cms Weight : should be correlated with weight, Leg Length : Min – 99 cm. Max – 120 cm. Thigh Length : Max – 64 cm. Sitting Height : Min – 81.5 cm. Max – 96 cm. Vision: Minimum Visual Acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia. LASIK Surgery for correction of vision is admissible in Transport and Helicopter streams of Short Service Commission (Flying Branch) with some conditions. |

The physical requirements required for applying to IAF (Indian Army Force) are given below. - You should be physically and mentally fit without any disabilities and diseases. - The minimum height should be 152 Cms and the maximum height is 195 Cms for men and the weight should be proportional to height. - For women the minimum height required is 143 Cms and the maximum height is 175 Cms and the weight should be proportional to height. - The chest should expand minimum 5 Cms. - The eye sight should be very clear and should not have any disease in past. - The hearing should be normal and should not have disease in past. - There should be no diseases of bones and joints. - There should be no sign of functional or organic disease of heart and blood vessels. - A teeth test will be conducted you need to get 14 points in the test. If you have 32 teeth then you need to get 22 points. |

What is the minimum criteria required for physical fitness to apply for IAF? I have sight of 3 at right eye and 2.5 at left eye. If it is problem for not to selected in IAF. Is there any case that I can undergo any laser treatment to get it fixed? Can you please let me know the minimum criteria which are followed to apply? Awaiting for your response. |
