Re: Indian Army for Science students? Here are the 2 simple ways to get in indian army 1. NDA as you are already aware about it, you have to fill the form then there is a written examination if you get selected then you will get a call letter for SSB, which is of 10 days there are 3 phases in SSB intervies 1. day 1 - SCREENING 2. day 2-5 - GD, PI, other tests 3. day 6-10 - physical and medicals if you manage to get in the merit list, you will get the final letter for the NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY You spend 3 years in NDA then the last one in IMA or naval academy, AF academy as per your preferences. 2. TES Now lets have a look upon TES [technical entry scheme] only students with 70% and more in PCM are eligible for this Procedure:- fill the form in desired manner, then you will be called for the SSB for 10 days if you manage to get in merit list, you will be called for IMA Now here is the difference You spend the 1st year in IMA and then the next 4 in other army institutes. CDS is also the examonation. you also join indian army by clearing the exam. for nda only male candidates are apply for this. and for cds exam this is the main thing is that this is helpful for the science stream students. so, these are the exams by whicj you join indian army. |

Re: Indian Army for Science students? To join in indian army after 12th std you can write NDA exam. As you have mentioned that you had filled NDA application form i can say you only one thing that you are in a right path and go ahead. Other than NDA you can enter the army as an officer through CDS exam but you need a degree for that exam. |

Through NDA examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year for which 12th passouts and 12th appearing students can apply. 2. Through TES (Technical Entry Scheme) for which minimum educational qualification is 12th passout with minimum 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry an Maths. 3. Through SSC (Short Service Commision) for which minimum educational qualification is Graduate. |

Re: Indian Army for Science students? if you have applied for NDA exam then that's the correct way to go into the Indian Army for +2 students. Don't get confused. The exam is scheduled by 17-4-11. So you have time and you can prepare well. Clear the exam and then build up your body and knowledge skills for further rounds of interview. All the best.. |

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India. Each year course start twice in the month of January and July. You only know about NDA but there are another exam TES ( Technical Entry Scheme ) . So you can try in this exam. good luck... |

Re: Indian Army for Science students? dear friend, Surely you can join Indian Army as a science student. You can try for it after +2 or after your graduation degree. After +2 you can apply for NDA. NDA exam is conducted twice a year first in the month of April & second in the month of August. After selected in written you will be called for SSB test, & then you will be finally selected. & the same procedure will be for CDS, which is after your graduation degree. & if you are a student of engineering then you can apply for either EKT(engineering knowledge test) or UES(university entry scheme). & after selection in written or interview you will be called for SSB test. After completing all tests, you will be commissioned in army as leutinent. good luck. |

Re: Indian Army for Science students? hello dear definately science students can join indian army. to join in amry, you have to appear and qualify either NDA exam or UPSC exam. through UPSC exam, you can join in Indian army. the criteria to attain in the UPSC exam is minimum graduation in qualification with 55% marks. age limit 21-29 years. all the best............. |

Dear friend indian army is waiting for such type of interested candidate.As you have filled the form of NDA ii form , it is very nice.To qualify in NDA you should read the math,Physics and chemistry of+ 2 in full depth.You should also read the book of general knowledge(GK) like GK by Upkar publication. For the preparation of current affair, you should read daily news. Instead of NDA you can join indian army through TES(Technical entry scheme). To appear in this exam you have to pass your +2 in PCM with marks greater than equal to 75%(In PCM).After qualifying in this exam you will get admission in the army institute of technology, there you will get the degree of BTech.The expenditure is beared by army.After completing your course, you will be commissioned in army as leutinent. Physical fitness 1.your height must be greater than equal to 157cm 2.Weight according to height 3.There is no colour blindness 4.No wax in the ear 5.no knocking knee. Best of luck |

In Indian army,they select through two ways named 1>NDA (National Defence Academy) and 2> TES (Technical Entry Scheme). if you are selected for the examination then you have to clear followings: 1. SCREENING 2. GD, PI, other tests 3. physical fitness and medicals then if you can come in NDA merit list you will go for TES,but in this case you have to scored more than 75% in PCM of 12th. Re: Indian Army for Science students? Indian Army offers good opportunities for science students. The candidates should be 19 years to 25 years. The eyesight should be 6/6.The height should be Minimum 5 foot 7 inches and weight should be at least 45 kg.You have to appear for NDA exam which will be followed by interview and medical test. |
