Re: A non-medical student can pursue GNM course? No, a non medical stream could not get admission into the GNM course. You should have PCB in 12th standard in order to get admission in GNM course. Eligibility criteria for admission into GNM course is: candidate should have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology (PCB combination of subjects) & English with aggregate of 40% marks. 5% relaxation for SC/ST students. However, Minimum marks required for admission into this course may vary from institute to institute. Age limit for admission in GNM course is 17 to 35 years. |

Re: A non-medical student can pursue GNM course? GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery. Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery is an undergraduate Nursing course. The duration of GNM course is 3.5 years. For GNM course candidate must have 12th passed from a recognized board with a Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. The minimum percentage required for open category is 45% and for SC/ST category is 40%. As per my knowledge 5% relaxation is permitted to SC/ST students for GNM course. The age of candidate must be in between 17 to 35 years. I am sorry to say without a Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects you are not eligible to do General Nursing and Midwifery course. |
