Dear Sir, i am allready 30years old,i have done MA(english)from Central University of Tripura.unfortunately i didn't get 55%. So If I again do my Post Graduation from Ignou University and secure 55% mark after two years will i be able to give net exam and if passed with good marks will i be eligible to get a regular gaovernment job in any Government college or University.please guide? |

There is no upper age limit to appear for NET examination. NET exam is conducted for the recruitments for two posts - Junior Research Fellowship Lecturership NET exam is conducted by UGC every year. NET - National Eligibility Test UGC - University Grants Commission Eligibility criteria for NET exam - Post graduation in any discipline with 55 % aggregate from a recognized college. There is no age limit to appear for NET exam. |

 The University Grants Commission conducts the NET Examination twice every year in the months of June & December for two posts : a) Lecturer b) JRF Now , you want to know the age limit for Lecturer. So , you will be glad to know that there is no age limit for the post of Lecturer in NET Exam. The Qualifications Required for NET Examination are : * you must have completed your post graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. * you must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in post graduation. * You must have Indian Citizenship. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Eligibility for NET exam:------------------------ 1.The candidate must have complete the post graduation in any trade from recognized university. 2.Final year candidates are also eligible for the exam. 3.The candidate must have secure 55% aggregate through out the career. 4.For Lectureship course:---- No upper age limit. For Junior research fellowship:--- Upper age limit is 28 years. Sc/ST candidate has the upper age relaxation of 5 years.. 5.The candidate should be a citizen of India. These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill. As you want to go for lectureship course then you don't bother about the upper age limit. All the best... |

FRIEND, UGC stands for UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION and this institute conducts the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST for the recruitment of candidates for the LECTURESHIP and Junior research Fellowship. THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS: 1)You must have completed Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from university recognized by UGC. 2)If you are in the final year of the Master's Degree then also you are eligible for the exam. 3)IF you have done P.HD then also you are eligible. 4)You must have secured the minimum of 55% marks in Master's degree and A 5% relaxation in marks in given to the Reserved category candidates. 5)AGE CRITERIA: 5.1 For Junior Research Fellowship: You should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. 5 years of relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories candidates and to women applicants. 5.2 Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility. The test consists of three papers and papers will be held on 24th December 2011 (SATURDAY) the test is conducted in two sessions. First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.) First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON) Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.) Dear sir, AGE LIMIT: For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2012 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants). For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.07.2012. No upper age limit. |

Minimum Eligibility For applying in NET examination 1, Post Graduation from recognized university 2, 55% marks in post graduation. NET stands for National Eligibility Test. UGC conduct the examination twice in a year. This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship. Age limit For Junior Research Fellowship - age of the candidate should not be more then 28 years. For Lecturer ship - There is no age limit to apply for Lecturer ship. The exam consist three papers Syllabus Paper I ---------------General knowledge ---------------Current affairs ---------------Aptitude and reasoning (It is 100 marks and a objective type paper). Paper II ---------------Core subjects (it carries 100 marks) Paper III --------------Selected core subjects (It carries 200 marks) (Total marks the paper carries is 400 marks) Colleges time to time publish vacancies for lecturer in Daily newspaper. keep reading daily newspapers .Approach the college when vacancy arise. Hi All, Pls check age limit as given in UGC website: http://ugcnetonline.in/age.php It is given that "There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility" AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION : i)Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority. Three years’ relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances. ii)Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility. All the Best. |
