sir, i m alka, 42 year old,i have done Msc It with 73% of marks n likes to appear for net exam, sir please tell me what is the age limit to appear net exam and what is the age limit to get a lecturer job?

I am 36 years old n having completed my B.SC. LL.B. I want to do LL.M. can I appear for netset after completing LL.M.

The Age limit for NET is:-

Must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 30 years.


Education eligibility:--

The eligibility criteria for NET is M.Sc or equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned above, with minimum 55% marks for General and OBC candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates..

so you are not eligible for NET exam,

Eligibility criteria to do NET(national eligibility test) and the exam is conducted by UGC(University grants commission)

* You should be the citizen of India.
* Age limit 18-28 years
* Candidates should complete graduation from a recognized university
* Candidates should get 55% at graduation

It is given that "There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility"

AGE LIMIT & RELAXATION :

i)Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years as on 01.12.2011. A relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates having research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on production of a certificate from appropriate authority. Three years’ relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree. Total age relaxation on the above ground(s) shall not exceed five years under any circumstances.


ii)Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying for lectureship eligibility.

To work as a lecturer you need to clear NET examination.

Minimum Eligibility For applying in NET examination

1, Post Graduation from recognized university

2, 55% marks in post graduation.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

UGC conduct the examination twice in a year.

This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturer ship.

Age limit

For Junior Research Fellowship - age of the candidate should not be more then 28 years.
For Lecturer ship - There is no age limit to apply for Lecturer ship.

The exam consist three papers

Syllabus

Paper I

---------------Aptitude and reasoning

(It is 100 marks and a objective type paper).

Paper II

---------------Core subjects

(it carries 100 marks)

Paper III

Colleges time to time publish vacancies for lecturer in Daily newspaper.
keep reading daily newspapers .Approach the college when vacancy arise.
College will than call you for interview.
if interview goes well they will appoint you as lecturer.

NET which means National Eligibility Test does not have any age limit for lectureship eligibility in 2012. You should have a post graduate degree from a reputed UGC collage with at least 55 per cent marks for General and 50 per cent for SC/ST candidates.

The last date of registration is March 20, 2012 for offline registration and March 21 for online registration. The written test of UGC NET exam will take place on June 17, 2012. You can apply online from here - http://203.199.141.241/jrf

The test consists of three papers and papers will be held on 24th December 2011 (SATURDAY)
the test is conducted in two sessions.

First I 100 1¼ Hours (09.30 A.M. to 10.45 A.M.)
First II 100 1¼ Hours (10.45 A.M. to 12.00 NOON)
Second III 200 2½ Hours (01.30 P.M. to 04.00 P.M.)

PAPER-I is to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate

PAPER-II: Multiple choice type questions.

Paper-III will consist of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the candidate.

MINIMUM MARKS FOR LECTURESHIP REQUIRED ARE:

3.The candidate must have secure 55% aggregate through out the career.
4.For Lectureship course:---- No upper age limit.

Sc/ST candidate has the upper age relaxation of 5 years..
5.The candidate should be a citizen of India.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill.
As you want to go for lectureship course then you don't bother about the upper age limit.

a) Lecturer

b) JRF

Dear Sir, i am allready 30years old,i have done MA(english)from Central University of Tripura.unfortunately i didn't get 55%. So If I again do my Post Graduation from Ignou University and secure 55% mark after two years will i be able to give net exam and if passed with good marks will i be eligible to get a regular gaovernment job in any Government college or University.please guide?
